Profile

Midori is a teacher at Ohtori Academy, working on her thesis in archeology while also working as a history teacher for the lower grades. She's very energetic and quite gung-ho about whatever happens to strike her fancy at the time. She's mostly serious on the job, but when she's not working, she can be quite the party animal. What is not well known, however, is that Midori is the oldest of the current generation of HiME, partnered with the Child known as Gakutenou. A very agile fighter, she is able to call upon a Greek Axe to fight along side her Child. She is constantly digging around, trying to turn up more information about the HiME. Something seems off, and she intends to get to the bottom of it. Among the HiME, she's also known for being a traditional magical girl, regardless of her age. Though she'll never admit to being more than seventeen years old.

Here's some more information about them; you might include parts of your application, if you enjoy sharing, or more up-to-date relationships with characters on the game.

Personality

Midori normally a pretty energetic person, when she does something she never does it half hearted. She almost always gives it her all. Be it in teaching, to anything else she's put her mind to. She's also very adaptable and fairly smart when you first meet her in the series she's just a waitress. Then you find out she's an archaeologist student working on her thesis and ends up teaching history teacher a Ohtori as a cover in her own plans such as researching more on the Hime. Also trying to get them to befriend each other. Now when she's on the job be it monster hunting she's quite focused on what she has to deal with. However tends to remain in a positive mood about it.

Now when she's off the job, she tends to relax a good deal, becomes quite talkative, often thinking up crazy plans to go have fun with her friends. Such as dragging most of em for a Costuming Karaoke party. She's got a bit of a fondness for booze but she doesn't go overboard normally but there are the the odd times where she will. If she's partying hard with a number of friends. Her main interests are in history and archaeology. With people she's just met she tends to be good natured and somewhat on reserved side but if she gets to know someone a little she tends to make friends fast.

While Midori can seem like she's for lack of a term a big of a derp when you get down to it there is more a portion of her behaviour is an act. While she's quite taken by the fact of when she's able to now do and she can carry out a few fantasy she had since she's been a kid. She is troubled by what she has uncovered so far about the HIME and it drive her to dig deeper in search of the truth. Given her already exiting love of history this has just got her more curious about what's going on. Still in general she's a pretty confident lady about herself and her own abilities however she's so far kept herself from becoming arrogant. She's also can be pretty focused when she sets her mind to something as well. This can server her well but also somewhat put blinders on her at times whens he's on another task? She may miss something else that comes up which is unrelated to it.

This has lead her to uncover a bit to find her way to the Tokyo region just tacking down more information on the Hime and the things related to them. She does worry just about what is going on? Yet she's very into basically being a magical girl. It's the sort of thing she dreamed as a kid and now she's been handed as such. She intends to do what good she can in the name of justice and protecting the innocent as she can. She does have some things she fears, she's afraid of what the truth behind the HIME might be, and every times she's dug up more and more points to something big going on which points to some sort of cycle and the implications of such have left her concerned. Still she manages to have fun, she's a rather big nerd, into various things from anime and certain types of games but generally she's more into watching the shows or reading the comics. Then collecting a mountain of model kits. She's also a massive history buff and loves learning about the past be it about her world or any other. She'd likely jump at at chance o study about the magical worlds should she ever become aware of them. If you become a real friend of Midori she'll go to the wall for you, even if your unaware of it and it's hard to break her friend hip even as things got really grim in the series she never gave up even with what she had to do to give her friends a chance. When it comes to enemies Midori has a strong sense of Justice and general will try to avoid killing humans and other like being she's forced to confront and she has no issues with cutting down horrors like the orphans she's encountered before but she's not had heavy confrontations with people whose wilfully given themselves to the darkness. She does however feel people can change and is willing to give an seemingly remorseful foe a change to change.

When it comes to schools Midori has no real negative views of any of the major schools to be honest she'll be happy to be a teacher when it comes as she does enjoy such well enough. It also lets her sniff about the region more easily which also is to her advantage there may be more than Orphans about after all. She's also got a bit of a thing for cooking and loves finding old cook books and seeing what treasures they may hold. When all is said and done? Midori one who truly does believes in love, friendship and justice and often will say he is a defender of justice. Even if she screws up she'll generally own up to her actions. After all if she makes a mess she's going to try to clean is up. All and all she's a very passionate sort who does think good shall prevail in the end., but not without effort or having the heart to go after such. One final note she has this odd quick she claims she's 17 and will stick to it as she once said to Mai. Yes I'm 17 cross my heart and hope to die. She's 17 really! She really is. (Okay she's 24 she does not like to admit it.)

History

Midori had a normal enough of a life for the longest time, unaware of there being anything important about the strange birthmark she had. Which was a sign of the fate that was in store for her. She was happy enough did well in school, graduated high school. Also also through out her childhood she'd come to love the sort of Sentai, Magical hero sort of shows and even some mecha. They would ironically influence her for the better much later in hr life.

Went to university where she met another young woman who'd become one of her best friends. Yoko Sagisawa, their pair got on quite well, partied hard also ahem stole booze even medical alcohol for drinking and party antics. Though Midori denies helping Yoko on that to this day however. She also met Gal and Dyne two other students in the same line of study as she was.

Things had gone very well she'd managed to land a spot on a dig on one of the more remote islands in Japan. Gal and Dyne also landed spots on the dig. That is where things changed forever. They had uncovered a strange site where they'd been working to exchange for some days. When a orphan sensing Midori attacked the dig site. Nothing they could do could seem to stop it. They were not in a dangerous area. No one was armed, and it would have done little good against a horror such as the Orphan.

Midori's friends and coworkers were quickly dispatched one way or another. It would be a small miracle that no one died. However Midori caught on the creature was hunting and tried to lure it away. She took cover in part of the ruins they had yet to get to and when the orphan stormed in? It disturbed some of the terrain. Revealing the sleeping place of Gakutenou. The Child which would become Midori's own.

That's when a strange white hair young man appeared to her and told her she could make a contract with the sleeping force within the strange shrine. Having little choice other than to become Orphan chow and part of her wondered what could she do with his. She was warned she'd have to risk what she held most dear but she was going to lost that if they did nothing for she'd had a thing for the far older Professor who was leading the dig.

Midori accepted found she could materialize a weapon and fought the orphan with her new partner. Thankfully the rest of the group passed the whole incident off as food poisoning or bad dreams, followed by some very nasty weather. Midori played along as it was for the better. Given her awakening and contract? Midori was able to now not be blinded to supernatural. She started looking for similar locations and legends related to them and started to find a trial of bread crumbs going back into history. She started tracking that down planning her thesis about this. Not to mention her desire to protect people form the monsters that were starting to creep out of the shadows. So she's now found her way to Tokyo while still working on such. She's become aware there's more than just the Orphans at work in the world but she's clearly focused n the force connected to her self. It's what she best suited for but she will not ignore whatever else lays in wait in Tokyo... she's got the world to save and a thesis to finish after all.

Still she can't help but wonder about the boy's strange noting about risking what she values most in the world? With what she's found so far it's proven to be a cause for concern. It has clearly happened before perhaps even more than once..what is the cause of the cycle? Why do the HIME appear, and just where are the Orphans coming from?

Powers/Abilities

Out of combat Midori is an archeological student so she's well versed in how to do a dig, and the various points related to such work. Also what to look for when looking for places that might contain a viable site for a dig. The hidden signs of old ruins and the like. She's also got general history degree. This more than enables her to teach at a school and not look like she doesn't know what she's doing. She's also uncovered information about the HIME while she does not yet know the purpose she's aware of the cycle and is looking into just the nature of it and how far back the rabbit hole goes. She's also pretty adept at being stealthy which could come as quit a supervise to those who know her. Additionally as is to be somewhat expected she's very good on her nation's own history.

Midori is a very high speed fighter she's all about keeping moving and she's quite the sort of get fired up about things but she's not made of wet paper when it comes to keeping herself together but there are far more composed people out there than she. She is a bit of a spaz even when she's not hiding it after all. She puts her agility to great use in combat just making herself a very pain to lock down for long. It should be also note in her active combat form she's able to preform feats of agility right out of a kung-fu movie.

In combat she makes use of her element, her personal weapon she can materialize in this vase she uses a Labrys a type of Greek axe. While she often doesn't use it direction she darn well knows how to use it. She's very good in close combat with it also using it as a means to get around. Such as embedding it in an orphan and using it to swing about with the head of the weapon as a anchor. She also shown she's quite adept at throwing it like a boomerang and it returning to her.

She's not in this alone either shes got her partner her child Gakutenou. He's a strange armadillo/lion like creature whose back legs can turn into wheels. Which lets it basically become a ride-able like a chariot. Midori is often will do this to catch a die. It's also able to fly too. On it's head there's an extendable blade that can slice through solid rock and by rotating it's wheel at high speeds one land. It can launch a tornado to trap it's enemies. Finally it can become a living projectile and just physically blast though it's targets. It goes all out fast as it can and shields it self in energy as it goes. It's able to go through stone walls or even the hull of a modern day naval warship.
