The last few days have been miserable for many people, and meteorologists in particular. While every metric of weather-reading indicated several days straight of sunshine and warmth, day after day was marred by sudden unexpected rainstorms - each more abrupt and torrential than the last. Television comedians have been making jokes about 'Chance of precipitation: Who even knows any more?', carrying an umbrella just in case has started to become a common trait, and there's a general dread of the skies.
For those observant enough to pay attention, though - and not inclined to automatically chalk things up to 'weather is weird this time of year' - a few things can be noticed. The fact that while the skies darken as the rain pours down, there's no sign of actual clouds. A glimpse of a bright red umbrella or billowing white cape, atop a rooftop before and after the storm. A shadow in motion in the wake of the weather event.
An outdoor concert, a sports game, and a sale at a market have all been cancelled today due to sudden onset of water - but in each case, the shadow was more noticable afterwards. Darting about, but heading toward a quiet bit of the waterfront. Something most distinctly not normal.

The scene at the river is a bizarre one. A vaguely mechanical monster, towering as tall as a small house, stands on the riverbank. Its body is made of horizontal bars, its arms sinuous hoses, and glowing eyes flank a yellow diamond on what seems to be its face. It's almost like it's a giant lawn sprinkler with a face.
Its hose-hands are dipped into the river, and it's drinking deeply. Glug, glug, glug.
Nearby stands a muscular figure - known to some as Westar. Garbed in black and gold, a white cape upon his back, mint-green hair on his head. His bare arms seem strong, but what he holds is remarkably mundane.
He has a steaming can of hot coffee, and seems to be enjoying it. Glug, glug, glug.
Westar finishes first, crumpling up the can and tossing it absently over one shoulder. "Good work this afternoon, Nakewameke- drink up, and let's see if we can rain on a few more parades before sundown!"

Being a natrually sunny person as it is, Aimi Saionji isn't usually one who cares for rain when it is so disruptive like it has been as of late. Its not that she hates the rain, she enjoys it like any other kind of weather, and has some nice sketches of places in the rain. But this is just beyond natural, and while it doesn't seem like its the work of a dark scent, she isn't about to just stay out of things now and keep from trying to figure out what's going on.
As such, she's been keeping track of where the rain has been showing up, trying to get there as quickly as she could as Warm Vanilla Sugar, but just missing out it seems each time, only catching a glimps of the shadow as it was as it headed off. The most recent one was enough for her to finally figure out where it might be headed off to after each storm.
"Hey! You there!" She calls out, pointing over at the man as he announces his plans. "No littering on the riverfront! Its rude and makes the whole place look dirty and messy and not a fun place to be now!"
"Now go over, pick the can up, and dispose of it properly before someone gets hurt," She finishes off, just glaring at Westar and Nakewameke. In the back of her mind, there's a thought, trying its best to be heard. Something about this possibly being the monster and the guy responsible for the rain or something, but its drowned out by Vanilla Sugar's desire to keep the world free of litter at the moment.

Miserable for most, but not for Nori Ankou! Of course, everything has its place and its time, and after several days of enjoying the springtide wetness, it became clear that this was not a merely natural sort of event. For one thing, the rain did not come from the warmly shrouding embrace of clouds; for another, it was associated with...
Something. Nori hadn't glimpsed it when she'd seen a motion at the market, where she had gone for some bargain hunting.
But it was enough. Behind a closed-down teacup vendor, a mirror gleams in the unnaturally dark sky. "Twinned in the mirror--"
SOON:
La Sirene du Nord does not approach from streetside, nor from along the buildings. She crouches on one knee inside of a small wooden rowboat, armed only with a paddle - but it would seem that she did not need it, for the immense suction of the Nakewameke is providing the boat with enough oomph to trail up the river!
Gradually at least. The wind may be helping. The small boat is flanked by the smaller, swimming form of Batiste, who is keeping ready pace.
La Sirene stands up as the shape of the Nakewameke becomes clear - and seems taken aback at its titanic SIZE, but not badly enough to be driven away. Adjusting her cap, she calls out, "You there! Cease what you are doing! Rainy weather isn't a thing you can take lightly!"

Unexpected rain makes it hard to have an enjoyable walk to view the flowers. "Again?" Ikiko grouses, pulling out an umbrella as the rain starts to fall. Yes, she could still look at the plants, but flowers look better and smell better in the sunlight than they do in the rain.
Sighing with frustration, she looks up to the sky and glares. "GO AWAY, RAIN!" she yells, as if her annoyance alone could chase the clouds away.
But there doesn't seem to /be/ any clouds -- just a dark sky, plus a shadowy figure who departs with the rain. Hmmm...
Stepping into a nearby alley, she puts her umbrella away and touches the locket around her neck. A murmured phrase and a silvery glow later, Tsukiko goes bounding in the direction the mysterious figure had gone.

One advantage of leaping from place to place is that the wind in your face helps to dry you out if you run into another rainburst along the way. Landing in a nearby tree, Tsukiko shakes the rest of the water off of herself. There's enough trees here that she can't see anything, but there's a strangely loud "glug glug" coming from the direction of the river.
Carefully bounding forward, she arrives in time to hear WVS chastise Westar for littering. "I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to drink directly from the river, either," the wolfgirl adds with a smile in her voice and a glare in her eye. "Besides, too much rain can be just as bad as not enough!"

"Rain, rain, go away~" sings Love Momozono in English before pausing to stop, gather her strength, and jump into a particularly large puddle. The water splashes upwards, but the young teenager in the pink galoshes is quite prepared for the inclement weather. It has been raining for the past few days straight, so Love was no longer in danger of getting caught completely unprepared even though the risk of forgetting her umbrella was a very real one. And that really is the main concern that Love has as she has not even noticed the peculiar nature of this rainfall. She never really was the most observant person, afterall.
The young teenager seems to be in pretty high spirits when all is said and done. Perhaps its partially because she was currently hanging out with two of her best friends in the world. Twirling her pink umbrella around, Love goes on to hum the rest of the rhyme. She smiles from to ear to ear as she splashes into another puddle and lets a short shriek when this particular puddle proves to be much deeper than she expected.
At her own antics, Love starts giggling as she turns back to Miki and Buki. "I'm glad both of you were free today! It feels like its been forever since we were all together!" There is pretty much nothing in the world that can damper Love's cheerful mood. That is until she sees a very thirsty Nakewameke and Westar standing nearby. With a serious glint in her pink eyes, Love turns once more to her best friends. "Let's go!" She says excitedly before going to activate a device that suspiciously looks like your average cellphone."Change! Pretty Cure- Beat Up!"
Pink light envelops Love Momozono has she takes a large leap into the air and lands now as Cure Peach. She quickly forms a heart in front of her with her pinky fingers outstretched, "This pink heart is the emblem of love!" CLAP! "Freshly Picked, Cure Peach!" Cure Peach then awaits the arrival of her friends before she goes to join the others on the riverbank. This Nakewameke had to be stopped!

Nadeshiko Fujisaki, Queen's Chair of the Ohtori Guardians, ends up doing a lot of shopping for the junior student council, even at this point in the year. Even with Kukai graduating, and maybe some other people leaving cough cough, the business of the Guardians must continue, after all!
The point of which is to say that Nadeshiko has ended up stuck out in the rain considerably more than she at all approves of in the last week, and it's enough to try even her considerable patience. Particularly since Temari doesn't like it when her clothes get wet and at least once she's ended up screaming curses at the sky thanks to an impromptu Chara Change. So now she's carrying an umbrella around everywhere. And so is Temari. Temari is deeply upset by this. It ruins her delicate yamato nadeshiko image to have to carry something so vulgar.
Nadeshiko was halfway across a crosswalk, heading out of the shopping district with her sales dreams dashed when the skies darkened, and her eyes turned up. "Oh, not again!" she stammered out, and started to fiddle with her umbrella...but she stalled, actually noticing. "There's no clouds--"
WHOOSH.
"But there is rain," Temari chimes from under her umbrella, while Nadeshiko's Guardian uniform drips. She stands there for a second, swinging her umbrella up, and takes a long, slow breath. "Temari," she says, attempting composure.
"I saw a shadow," the little fairy notes, helpfully.
"Good. Show me."
SOON:
Chara Change often doesn't really protect Nadeshiko's identity so much as it leaves one with a somewhat more mundane impression of her antics. Which is to say: The Queen's Chair of the Ohtori Guardians shows up with a friggin' naginata in her hand and in a profoundly sour mood, eyes slitted to a glare. That's a... a thing, drinking from the river! Which - is probably how it made it rain without... Nadeshiko's eyes travel up from the robot monster on the riverbank upward. "...clouds," she mutters, the pieces falling into place.
And soon after, so do her feet. "OI!!" Nadeshiko cries out, an impressively low snarl for a slip of a girl. "You the one who's been makin' a fuss with the rain!? Do you even know how many people had to close shop thanks to you!?"

In contrast to the pink umbrella that her friend sported - Miki Aono had a white and blue one without frills - always held up against the sudden rainfall. She had been to a shoot before coming here to meet up with her friends, so she wanted to protect her appearance from the rain, well... messing with her makeup overmuch. "You know, this is a very odd rainshower," she remarks to her friends kinda off-handedly.
It was difficult not to smile with Love gallavanting in the rain like that. Especially at that ear to ear smile - one blossoms upon Miki's lips, her nose crinkling as she laughs lightly. "Oh, Love," she says, in a fond sort of voice that was filled with a certain warmth.
There was no protecting her boots from the water - shiney white ankle boots with a fairly serious heel that looked like refugees from the sixties, but her dark pleated skirt - worn beneath a white jacket and light blue top - was bolstered against the sudden cold as with a liberal application of scarf around the neck.
"I'm so glad to be out here as well, with you and 'buki both," she says, her smile still quite strong on her features. "I love the rain - much like you seem to. I just wish I had a little warning," she repeats, a bit of suspicion in her features as she glances skyward from beneath the shade of her umbrella.
Right in time to hear Love's proclaimation. "What?! Labyrinth?" Surprise lasts only a few moments in her features and tone before she narrows her eyes again, likewise removing a suspiciously cell phone like object, almost in time with Love. "Change! Pretty Cur...!" she says, tossing her umbrella aside...
She hadn't thought that motion through very much, and the rain starts to play terrible tricks with her makeup and hair, leaving her looking suddenly miserable. "...erg." But she was falling behind! "Change! Pretty Cure! /BEAT UP!/" Perhaps the last was said with a little more forcefulness than was necessary - but soon enough...! "This blue heart is the emblem of hope!" CLAP! "Freshly Gathered - Cure Berry!" Even through the rainstorm, she starts to bound forward, catching up with Peach and kinda taking up a position lightly behind, and to one side of her.

The weather around town has become so frightfully unpredictable that Inori had started carrying extra folded rain slickers in her bag of many things. Several were even human sized! With it figuratively raining cat and dogs out of nowhere, her physical therapy sessions walking the dogs of her family hospital were becoming a hassle.
On account of that, her parents had left her to her own devices this afternoon, and she was making use of the time by hanging out with her best friends of course! In her own yellow slicker and carrying an umbrella of matching color folded at her side, she lets out a small squeal as she's caught in the splash radius of Love's hop into a puddle.
Far from angry, she wipes her free hand against her bangs with a warm smile. "You're full of energy today, Love-chan!" Buki affectionately states the obvious, for when is Love not? She still walks nearby Love, though is now a bit more cautious, unfolding her umbrella rapidly to intercept the next shower, commenting off hand towards Miki, "It took my surprise yesterday morning. Poor Yuuki-kun was drenched!" Yuuki being a dog at her family's hospital. She puts a finger to her chin, before murmuring to Miki, "Now that I think about it, he wanted to play in the puddles too, just like Love-chan." She smiles, before speaking ruefully at Love, "It's been so busy lately at home. Hopefully I'll have more time during the Spring break."
Turning the corner around the bend, recognition dawns on her as she sees Westar, executive of Labyrinth, and definitely not a foe to be taken lightly. "So is Labyrinth responsible for the weather?" She nods in affirmation to Love's serious declaration, folding back up her umbrella decisively, "Right!" Retrieving her yellow cell phone, which is also certainly a cell phone and definitely not a transformation device, she puts a clover shaped key at the top and turns it decisively. "Change!" She yells in unison with other two. "Pretty Cure... Beat up!"
Suffused by bright yellow light, Inori Yamabuki takes a a leap of faith and emerges as Cure Pine from the plunge. She puts her fingers together in the shape of a heart on her own. "The yellow heart is the emblem of faith!" Clap! "Freshly harvested, Cure Pine!" She takes her place at the side of her friends, ready for the coming battle. As difficult as it would be, she was comforted by the fact that both of her friends were here with her.

The executive of Labyrinth, and the monster at his side, blink in unison. The Nakewameke reacts first, retracting its arms - the long hoses coil up, making the monster's arms momentarily thicker. Westar stands up straighter, looking around to see who dares to interrupt. His face darkens with a scowl as each arrival is noticed - from the boat-riding siren, to the trio chastising his actions, to the three Pretty Cure.
For a moment, he panics. He's just started his plan, but already people are here to ruin it- and then he stops. He didn't just start - he's been gathering Misery Energy for days. The worst case scenario is that his plan stops here - but he can still report actual success. And who knows? Maybe he'll prove victorious, continue his rampage, and be able to brag to everyone back at the mansion! With renewed confidence, he turns to address his enemies with a grin.
"You're here! Pretty Cure, and their allies - I am Westar! Executive of Labyrinth, and faithful servant of Supreme Ruler Mobius!" He swipes a hand out to one side. "If creating a mess and unleashing rainstorms is something that ruins your happiness - then that's just what I'll have to do! Cry and wail, and give your misery to Labyrinth!"
Coiled arms slam down - whatever Westar's orders might have been, the Nakewameke has gone far too long without fighting anyone. It lets out a bellowing cry - "MONSOOOOON!" - and there's a rushing roar of water. The skies darken, there's a sinister pause, and then a massive downpour slams down on the area. It's not just wet, it's cold, it's miserable, and it clouds everything in awful weather.
Through the storm, a voice can be heard. "Nakewameke! Wait for me to get to cover before you do that, I don't have my umbrella today!" And footsteps splatter through the mud, running for the shelter of a nearby tree.

The rain comes down hard and cold and just miserablly down on Warm Vanilla Sugar, despite her attempts to dodge rain. She's not a ninja. She pouts as it does, getting all wet and upset at things.
"Hey! Do you know how hard it is to dry this thing out?" WVS doesn't mention that she doesn't actually maintain the uniform in any way. In fact, she doesn't even know how or why its always so perfect when she transforms. It just is.
She calms herself down though, as its nothing to get too upset over. There are bigger things to concern one's self with. Such as this youma that's causing all this rain. And allies! Oh! Is that a new group of Pretty Cures? Where's the sketchbook?
Warm Vanilla Sugar's brain kicks WVS, reminding her to focus. "Okay all! This youma doesn't look all that tough. I mean, its just an oversized sprinkler system. It shouldn't be hard at all to beat it up and return it to normal. That is if it was made from something. Well, regardless, I know we can do it! We just have to look deep within ourselves and find the strength that comes from within and to work together! We can do it! We may only just now meet, but we're united and friends in this fight against evil!"
Warm Vanilla Sugar finishes off with a pose, pointing at the Nakewameke. "And you, evil youma of darkness, will fall to our combined might!"
The warmth of Warm Vanilla Sugar's words might not actually dry and warm people up, but its the thought that counts. And the magical warmth that fills the heart. That too.

Tsukiko dives out of the tree, trying to get out of the sudden rain. But given enough rain, even the ground under the trees with thickest foliage will get soggy. She splutters a bit as water and loose leaves get in her face, and she shakes what she can off, although the water in her ears mutes WVS's words.
The wolfgirl sizes up the Nakewameke. "If you use those hoses to drink up water for these rains..." she murmurs, taking a few steps closer as she checks her footing on the soggy ground. "...then what happens if you can't use them?"
With a dash and a leap, she springs towards the Nakewameke, trying to land on its hoses with a crushing bounce.

The arrival of Precure, the Cute Wolf, and Warm Vanilla Sugar makes la Sirene nod once to herself. Good, she thinks -- allies!
Assistants! Aides! Rain! Wait...
Westar introduces himself, and a roaring downpour dumps down on the assembled. La Sirene is perhaps better adapted to bear this burden than most, but the rain pelts down hard enough that she has to raise her arms up to cover her eyes.
And her rowboat is taking on water - dangerously quickly. Listing heavily, the stern dips below the water, the surging river rising up around la Sirene's legs. She dives forwards, into the river's embrace!
A few moments later, she pulls herself onto the shore closest to the Nakewameke, her head turning as she hears Warm Vanilla Sugar's encouraging words. The sensation in her heart is pleasant, if a bit unfamiliar. As she dumps water out of her cap, she states, "I do not know if there is anything normal about this - this beast!"
La Sirene points a finger towards Westar, or at least the approximate direction where Westar went. "You! Are you enjoying having water dumped on you? No?! Well, think about what you did! This is the punishment of karma, grim and cold and ironic in its justice!"
She puts her cap back on, pinning it back on. "Now then! In the name of rain in its proper measure, I will scourge you-- with --" She falters momentarily, but that warmth in her heart drives her onwards. Holding one hand aloft, la Sirene says with somewhat more confidence, "your own rain...!"
The storm picks up, a little. Rather: a driving waft of wind, called by la Sirene's magicks, turns some of that pelting rain back onto the Nakewameke! "See how YOU like it!"

Moments before while she was in the middle of puddle jumping, Love Momozono had stopped, turned, and offered a huge grin to both Miki-chan and Buki when they commented on her puddle playing. It was super childish of her, sure. But she was only 14, and not some ancient highschooler. Any its not like people thinking Love was acting silly ever stopped her from reaching her own happiness before. But that was then and this is now! There was a Nakewameke to fight and it didn't look exactly happy to see that so many magic girls were interrupting its refreshing river break.
Cure Peach was running straight forward the mechanical creature when a torrent smacks the blonde warrior hard enough to send her spiraling through the air. It seems that it wasn't the smartest idea to -not- move out of the way of the Nakewameke's attack. Peach goes spiraling end over end until she comes crashing down into a HUGE puddle of water. SPLASH! After the kicked up water falls back down, a very drenched Cure Peach can be seen. She quickly jumps back up onto her heeled feet, causing a smaller splash when she does so and looks to her fellow Pretty Cure. "Berry, Pine, and everyone watch out! This Nakewameke can shoot water at you! A...lot of it!" Peach helpfully warns her fellow Cures and Magic Girls before leveling her gaze at her attacker.
Cure Peach nods to herself before charging forward again with a fist raised high to the heavens. She dashes forward, leaps, and attempts to land a pair of uppercuts on the machine. This is not the most graceful or well planned attack, but it is Cure Peach attempting to do what she does best! Punching!

"Westar!" accuses Berry of the man, Berry's hand coming up to point at him. But accusations die on her features as the clouds overhead start to darken, and her serious expression twisting to something to that of oncoming dread. Perhaps it was the whole not wishing for her makeup to be ruined thing from before. Booted feet dig into muddy earth, and Berry scrambles as the creature starts that downpour. "Nononononono," she says, darting for the shelter of a nearby tree, just barely staying ahead of the monsoon.
It was during that motion that she looks to Westar, her eyes widening as she sees him having the same idea.
Some might be tempted to strike at the man directly, but as the waters secede - Berry felt slightly ashamed for fleeing from water. It couldn't have been /that/ bad, could it? She had to help her friends with the monster now. "A monsoon's worth!" she chimes in with Peach's comment.
Late late - Berry was late to everything today - and especially this afternoon. Leaping up off of the ground, she kinda darts through the air - leading with her foot as she attempts to guide herself towards the creature, boot first. A flying kick!
We'll just have to see how perfect it was.

Despite the comparison of Love to the yippy, playful little dog she was walking the other day. Buki offered Love a wide smile at the grin. While she teased Love frequently for her behavior, Buki didn't look down on what others might see as childishness. Instead she reveled in these moments with her friends, admiring both of them equally for their own distinct qualities. Perhaps it was that admiration, that gave her the belief that everything would turn out well in any fight so long as she stood at their sides.
The moment of panic from the Labyrinth executive is taken in stride, even if Westar had moments like this, it made him no less dangerous as a foe. In some ways his unpredictability made him even more dangerous given his immense strength. She follows his retreat into cover with her eyes and charges with Peach. She's immediately struck by a massive torrent of water striking her like some great river right out of the sky.
Digging in her heels and putting her arms up to shield her eyes, it sends her backwards a few paces from the sideways flow. "I feel like a salmon trying to swim upstream!" Buki calls back at Peach and Berry, her voice almost lost in the pounding water. She almost loses her footing entirely, and starts to stride forward instead of holding fast, picking up momentum into a forward sprint along the muddy ground before leaping towards the Nakewameke. She turns her whole body into an explosive spinning punch at the last moment, synchronizing it to land just after Peach's uppercut flurry and Berry's flying kick.

Nadeshiko's angry barking is met with a fairly casual response. She takes a quick count. Three Pretty Cures - same team? They seem to have a certain unity to them, similar to what she can get going with Amu. And she remembers fighting alongside Cure Peach for a while, before. She's seen Cute Wolf Tsukiko and du Nord enough to know them by sight, and...and she doesn't really remember Warm Vanilla Sugar so well. Nor Westar, but he fixes that one easily enough.
"Westar...an Executive of Labyrinth?" she mutters out, looking to Temari. The little fairy shrugs, inelegantly. "Like I know all the crazies?" she declares. "Doesn't matter if he's an Executive or a Janitor! Go stick a fork in 'im!"
Nadeshiko's sneer curls higher, about to bark something; but Westar has already ordered the attack! Nadeshiko sees it, and refuses to take part; she all but prances out of the way, a whirling, elegant pirouette that lands her mere centimeters outside the radius of the pouring rain.
Nadeshiko leans on her spear, a smug little grin playing across her features. "Executive of Labyrinth?" she calls out. "Well you can call me /Queen/!"
She glances in Warm Vanilla Sugar's direction, a little smile playing across her face. "It's not the best I've heard," she muses with a low laugh. "But it's the heart that counts. And she's right."
She swings forward suddenly, planting one foot and then bouncing forward, hopping between relatively clear patches on the ground with a dancer's grace - and then bounding into the Nakewameke's range and slashing once, hard across its flank. "AND YOU! You have any idea how many times you got me this week!? Cut it OUT!"

Through the rain, the Nakewameke is met with challengers. Howling a challenge, Tsukiko comes bounding in - landing a glancing blow, enough to make the oversized machine stumble for a moment. The rain being turned against it, however briefly, seems effective - maybe some parts of it aren't meant to get wet, or maybe actual rain works better than its imitation. A blade sparks for a moment against its side, metal screeching against metal.
The Pretty Cure assault comes swiftly - Peach's punches being rash enough that the Nakewameke is forced back several steps. It keeps up the movement, though - using its momentum to roll with the followup strikes from Berry and Pine. Fists and feet slam against the metal, but when the ringing ends the monster is still standing. Still reeling back and finding a good stance, but still standing.
There's an angry shout from somewhere in the area. "Karma doesn't have anything to do with this - and don't make me laugh, Mobius rules everything! And - what do you -mean-, not that tough?" Westar's grumbling is audible, even over the storm - and then he calls out loudly. "Nakewameke - show them how wrong they are!"
"TODAY'S FORECAST...." A metallic foot stomps into the mud with a squelch, and the Nakewameke goes on the advance. One arm uncoils, the hose whipping out to trip up those who closed in; jets of water spray at the bouncing Tsukiko and the storming Siren. The other arm, tightly bound, suddenly lashes out like a released spring to slam into Warm Vanilla Sugar's general location.

The geyser of water hits Tsukiko squarely, sending her skidding across the ground. "At least the worst of the twigs were washed away," she groans, stnading to her feet and shaking the worst of the water off.
The sight of Nadeshiko's naginata gives the wolfgirl an idea. "Okay, so /kicking/ the hose wasn't that effective," she muses, darting forward once more. "How about /biting/ holes into them?" She pounces towards a hose, her fanglies magically lengthening as she tries to grab on and chomp down.

Warm Vanilla Sugar is more prepared to deal with things that aren't nearly impossible to avoid. Such as an arm springing out to slam into her. She braces herself as the blow lands, shoving her into the ground some, but she resists, pushing back against the arm to keep it from squishing her completely.
"Its simple really. Of course this thing isn't all that tough. If it was truly as tough and dangerous as you claim it is, then why hasn't it done its job by now?" Basing her plans and thoughts on the fact that they're still breathing and all is a bit of a tricky, dangerous thing.
She does, though, start to bring her magic to bear in full, gathering it up in her hands, keeping back and at distance from the youma. "Its just a matter of time before it falls apart, and lets see how well it can handle this."
Warm Vanilla Sugar starts to throw balls of magic off at the youma, most of the vanilla sugar scented balls aimed to keep the youma from going much of anywhere, some that hit working at encasing it in a sugary case to further hold it down. Its a bit of a tough thing to do, and can be draining, given the barrage she's giving off, but it will be worth it if it works.

"You don't rule this world! And-- The storm is mine to command!" la Sirene says, spreading her arms dynamically - and then the hose turns on her. She is struck in the stomach full bore, flying back and nearly stumbling back into the river.
Nearly is the operative word -- it's close! Her arms pinwheel energetically, one foot coming up in an effort at desperate counterbalance, pulling her back inwards - and finally, la Sirene stumbles ahead, landing in a three point stance and exhaling with relief.
The rain keeps falling on her, a torrent of misery. "Mobius... this is the second time we've crossed paths... what are you...?" la Sirene muses aloud.
She rises to her feet, cheeks puffing out - and she steals another glance towards the Pretty Cures, even as the Cutest of Wolfs makes her play. "Do you know anything about this person?!" she cries towards them, even as her hands come up, a gesture of pleading - almost beseeching. She clutches the air -
And whirls to face the Nakewameke. "Those hoses... are they like the worms?" she muses aloud. Then, "Let her alone!" she cries out as it strikes towards Warm Vanilla. La Sirene's arm spins around, raising upwards with splayed fingers, and another burst of wind rises from the north, whipping over her hair and squeezing the water out of it - keeping it from clinging to her face - even as (hopefully) it smashes more of those fat raindrops into the thing's own spray mechanisms.

Cure Peach was much more ready to handle this next attack. The Nakewameke whips its hoses around in an attempt to flail dangerously at its many attackeres. The blonde-haired puncher, her pigtails flattened by the water, seizes this opportunity. When the hose comes around, she grabs onto it with a 'oof' and yanks it hard towards her. She then charges foward to throw a punch at the hopefully off-balanced Nakewameke. Peach looks quite happy at this turn of events and that raises an arm defiantly towards Westar and his Nakewameke. "There! That's what you get for...." The young warrior pauses mid-speech to rear back and go ACHOO!
It seems that getting hit with the last torrent and landing in a huge puddle of water had a lasting effect on the spirited young girl. She wipes the sniffles away and throws out a clenched fist in defiance once more. "Rain can make a lot of people happy, but too much of it..." Cure Peach looks as if she's ready to sneeze again, but she holds it in at the last moment. "....is bad!" She ends up finishing rather lamely due to her own interrupting almost sneeze. The pink clad warrior soon looks to her fellow Cures. "Berry! Pine! We can't let Labyrinth get away with this! We have to beat this Nakewameke and get our happiness!" They need to do it soon before they all get washed away by the Nakewameke torrential water blasts. And only then would they all be safe to play in the puddles (or atleast watch Peach do so)!

Nadeshiko's slash skids across the metal. It's a strange little blade, owing to the nature of the magic. Borne of heart, expecting it to cut the way one might any normal spear is not terribly wise. That said, it can probably skewer a robot OK!
Not this time though, and Nadeshiko finds her footing and staggers back, managing to throw her weight into the air and come down in mud rather than puddle. She grimaces. "Yeah, well I'll rule your backside!! His too, if he shows his face in fronta me!!" she snaps back, swinging her blade twice in threat.
She stops short, because thse hose is lashing out at her. She snaps up her naginata, horizontal, and absorbs the worst of the hit that way. It leads to her skidding across the mud and into puddles, and it's a testament to her sublime grace that she doesn't end up tumbling and dirty. Instead, although her school-wear slip-ons get caked in a mud she's going to have to spend some time polishing off, she herself remains mostly just wet. For now. "...the Queen's Chair protects the hearts of children," she says, with a deeper seriousness. "And if you're going to try and rain on their happiness...then I'll show you everything I can do!" Which it turns out means she charges forward, roaring in defiant and frankly kind of alarming language. "NOW LEAN DOWN SO I CAN CUT OUT ALL YOUR BITS!! NAHAHAHA!"

This time, Berry wasn't quite fast enough to avoid everything quite so ~perfectly~. This time, that lashing hose was too fast. Berry does duck her head under the first lash of it, bringing her arm up as if to bat it away from her - but that motion actually causes the hose to strike the side of her head with more force, her knees staggering for a moment as it strikes her, her world going blurry for one solid moment.
The blurriness subsides a moment, and Berry kinda... brings her hand up to the side of her head. Subside did not mean it vanished - and her gaze tries to focus in on the creature. "Be careful, I... um...!"
Berry sounded faltering. But Peach's words come to her, and she focuses in on her fellow Cure. "Right, Peach!" she says, her voice thick with a new determination. Clenching her hands into fists again... Berry breathes out, kinda ducking her head again. Leaping in, and kinda ducking and weaving as she goes, she twists in the mud - hoping to bring both of her fists clenched together to strike the creature in the side.

As Pine lands from her assault, she finds that she's one the target of a coiled hose arm spraying water all over. She takes a short hop upwards, her spinning her leg to connect with its arm before it takes her head on. Her foot connects and she manages to redirect the stream somewhat. However she underestimates the force of those sinewy arms, and is whipped backwards towards a copse of evergreens just beyond the shore.
Pine almost rights herself, but smashes against a tree, mouth open wide in a gasp. She rises on somewhat shaky feet, trying to lean against the tree for support. Though dazed, Pine makes a mental note to give Peach some cold medicine from her bag later. The words of her teammate are far more supportive than the tree. Pine hears them, and tries to dig deep within herself, coming up short.
Fortunately she's not alone. Even when she has her doubts, she can put her faith in her friends! "If anyone can beat it, it's you Peach! I believe! You'll save everyone's happiness from the misery of endless rain!" Luminous gold eyes look from Peach, to watch Miki's forward assault on the Nakewameke finding strength too in her perfection. She wouldn't give up on herself either, she just needed a moment.

The Nakewameke was built with a specific purpose - and for once, that purpose was not 'smash everything'. A swift lash at the Precure is met with fists and feet slamming into it - throwing it further off balance. With its arm overextended, it's easy prey for the wolf-girl - water sprays out from where fangs sink in, and pressure is steadily beginning to drop. Liquid sugar splatters against the rainstorm, a portion getting through to harden on the Nakewameke's casing, holding it down long enough for the north wind to batter it. Cure Berry strikes from one side, the blow pinning it in place long enough for Nadeshiko's blade to cut several gushing rents in the monster's other hose.
"Happiness? Don't be foolish - in this rain, all you can do is cry and wail!" Westar's voice calls out - this time, from the branches of a nearby tree. One hand holds a branch in place overhead, the burgeoning leaves just enough shelter against the diminishing storm. The other darts out to point accusingly at la Sirene. "This world, like all others, will belong to Mobius - and a normal storm, yes. But this-" He cuts himself off as Nadeshiko speaks up. "You'll what?! Don't speak lightly of Supreme Ruler Mobius!" He snarls, and then focuses his power for a moment.
The yellow diamond on the Nakewameke shines brightly for a moment - and then it stomps one foot with a bellowing cry. Surging with power, it blows away the hindering waters and sugars, and starts lashing out rapidly. Even with the hoses damaged, its water-spraying strikes smash craters into the ground around it - and threaten to do the same to those opposing it. "DOWNPOOOOOUR!"
As the monster rampages, Westar's scowl deepens. He's going to have to apply some patches to the Nakewameke after this - tonight's rainstorms might have to be cancelled at this rate!

Tsukiko backflips away from the Nakewameke, lashing out with a kick near the apex of her leap. Her foot barely connects, not hard enough to do damage but just enough to jostle the nozzle away from her. "This youma's starting to look a bit washed up!" she calls to the others. "Let's see if I can get it to trip over its own hoses!"
With that, the wolfgirl darts forward, accelerating into a dash that weaves around the Nakewameke's feet, trying to keep one step ahead of the stomping, the jets of water, and any lashing hoses.

Warm Vanilla Sugar tries her best, preparing to try and punch Nakewameke, but its flailing is too much, smashing against her harshly and painfully. She picks herself up slowly and faces the youma, still having the strength to do so. She isn't sure for how much longer though, and its not looking like the youma is going to be going down anytime soon, or at least its defeat isn't dependant on her being there to help out and all.
As such, she began to pull back and away, trying to keep distance between herself and the youma, and deciding that at this point, she's better off just going home and drying off. She hopes that she won't end up catching a cold though because of all this. That would just make things even worse from this whole thing.

Cure Peach was already soaked head to toe from earlier on in the fight. When the Nakewameke continues to spray water around some more, this really is only adding insult to injury. But there was something else in the water and now Peach's clothes feel even heavier than they were before. The blonde teenager looks thoroughly grossed out by this Nakewameke's attack and sneezes once more. She could really go for something warm and delicious after this, but they first had to continue to punch some newholes in this monster!
Nadeshiko had the right idea and she gets flashed a thumbs up from Peach. "Yeah! We'll protect their happiness!" And almost in time, Pine offers her encouragement. Buki was right! They could win this! They can save everyone from having a rainy day everyday! She then goes to rejoin her fellow Cures whom she glances at before nodding firmly to the two of them. "We can beat this thing if we all work together!" Peach then points a finger accusingly at the nakewameke and Westar. "Let's show them that you can do more than cry and wail in the rain! Let's show them that we can beat up a Nakewameke! Let's..Pretty Cure!"
Cure Peach then motions for both Pine and Berry to follow her lead. She charges forward towards the Nakewameke with a 'hiiiiiiyaaaah' before suddenly leaping up into the air. "Pretty Cure TripleKick!" exclaims the Pink Pretty Cure as she starts the beginning motions of trying to land a huge flying side-kick against the side of the mechanical monster.

Briefly, her mind flickers to what Westar was saying. Mobius! There was that name again, maybe he was a... ... ... well, she'll think about that later. What is happening right now? Water was smashing and crashing into her, knocking her off of her feet and kinda skidding her away. So she was thinking about screeching a little bit, her hands held up as she flails them in an attempt to grab ahold of...
She strikes the ground again, and slowly starts to push herself up to her feet. Now she had wooziness to go with the blurriness, but she shakes her head, her eyes flicking up towards Peach. There was that motion.
Perhaps it was all the time they had spent in dancing, but she knew what Peach was thinking instantly, smiling to herself in spite of her ponytail sticking to the side of her head.
"Peach! Pine!" she calls out. More to affirm her part to play in the role rather then to call to them. Heels digging into the ground, she dashes over - taking her position beside Peach. And at the same time as her friends, she starts leaping up in unison with the other two, hoping to draw her feet up and aim them at the Nakewameke! "Pretty Cure TripleKick!" she intones.

Even Westar's words have power behind them. The strength of his own conviction presses against her in waves of misery. While the aura of gloom makes her whole body sag beneath it's weight, she realized, as she always did that even when she lacked confidence, she couldn't stand idly by. She had to believe in herself. Even with all the rain water dripping from her face, not a single one is a tear. "It's not foolish!" She insists at Westar. "We'll show you."
It might be a lifetime of memories with her two friends, or their dancing practice teaching them to coordinate their movements, even their breathing. Maybe it was partially intuition as a Pretty Cure, but she knows what Peach is calling for immediately.
She looks sidelong at her Peach, then to Miki, her luminous gold eyes showing her solidarity with the other two. At the same time Peach and Berry charge, so too does she taking position alongside them and leaping in complete synch with the other two. "Pretty Cure TripleKick!" With one leg extended, she drives her foot down towards the side of the Nakewameke as hard as she can.

La Sirene du Nord looks towards the Cures, even as one sneezes. Get their happiness? she thinks - even as she puts a hand on her hip, using the other one to toss her freshly-dried hair back. (Or perhaps... Fresh-ly dried.)
"Hmf. You speak ridiculousness! You can't claim other worlds. You lack the right!" she declaims, pointing a finger towards Westar. "And -"
A yellow diamond is glowing.
"La Sirene, look out!" Batiste cries, from the half-swamped rowboat. La Sirene's head pivots upwards when the water begins to pour downwards en masse. Her eyes narrow - and she raises her left hand, fingers rising in salute.
"Les Mysteres!" she calls out, striking down with the right hand, sparkling the reaction - the water blooms around her, the incoming blob of aquatic doom splashing everywhere, like someone just jammed a finger on the spigot of the hose! And perhaps, for a fraction of a second, silvery light did just that.
The problem is of course that this is a maneuver that comes in a burst - it does not sustain - and water flops down heavily, exhausted almost, onto la Sirene. Her hair hangs in her face, and she steams gently.
La Sirene looks at her Black Mirror, briefly. The thought occurs to her, to call the storm, but, she thinks, what would that accomplish? It would contend against that borrowed power - could she drop it in the Sea of Tears? she wonders, though the idea is rejected after a moment of thought. Best not to give this person a way to find her home.
But she has to do something -
- and then, three hearts beat as one, and three legs drive outwards in unison.
La Sirene du Nord stares, eyes going wide at the trio's united force. Berry, Peach and Pine come together as one; such grace and agility leave la Sirene stunned and awe-struck for a moment. Batiste whistles - somehow.

There he goes yelling about Mobius again, but it seems like she made him mad that time. Unfortunately, Nadeshiko just really isn't presenting the sort of character that can actually treat the Supreme Ruler of Reality with the due reverence he is surely due. Instead, she sneers, lips curling up at getting a rise from Westar: "I'll talk however I want! I'm the Queen!" she crows an evil laugh, and only stops when she notices the Nakewameke shining with evil power. "Uh-oh," she says, blankly, and chara change's power speeds her legs. She ducks one high-flying hose and manages to sweep herself outside the range of the second, but she's left huffing and wheezing from the effort at the outer edge of that safe zone. She could really use with some more jump height right now, but that's--
That's not her thing, she thinks sourly. Fortunately she doesn't have long to ruminate on it, because Peach calls in her direction and Gets It. Nadeshiko stands by while the Pretty Cures go through their assault, marveling. She can't do /that/, either, but what she can do is...She lets her shark-toothed grin flash. "That's right! This thing's ruining all sorts of days! That's not the kind of thing I'ma letcha just get away with!"
And while the beast is reeling from the hit, Nadeshiko stomps one foot down, and shrieks, "So HAVE SOME MORE!" before she uses the whole sweep of her body to hurl that naginata at the Nakewameke, blade keening through the air to SLAM home!

Water and mud splatter down in the wake of the Nakewameke's assault. From his observation perch, Westar exults in his minion's might - even designed for something 'subtle and tricky', it's holding its own. One solid blow seems to even have one of the challengers in rapid retreat - if this keeps up, he'll be able to continue this scheme even longer!
That, however, is a big 'if'. The blow levelled at La Sirene was met with harsh silver light, blinding the Nakewameke for a key instant. Tsukiko is agile - darting around the Nakewameke's feet, getting its attention, keeping it distracted a moment longer. A swiftly hurled naginata slices clean through a hinge in its leg, ensuring that it can't easily move.
And then three hearts united strike as one, and the towering Nakewameke is sent flying into the air from the sheer force.
"Wh-what?!" Westar boggles openly - the time two of them teamed up to deliver a brutal strike at the cram school was bad enough, but the three of them together? "Eas never said anything about this! Nakewameke! No holding back - go all out!" Everything's falling apart!
Tumbling wildly, the Nakewameke bulges for a moment - all its watery reserves pouring out at once. Not even pretending to be rain, jets of water slam down into the ground as the monster falls, the area as a whole being showered. It's more effective in some places than others - and then it's out of water, slamming dazed into the earth. Anyone left standing might have a chance...

Exuberance fills Cure Peach as her best friends, Cure Berry and Cure Pine, join in on kicking the Nakewameke in unison. They did it! They dealt a huge blow to their robotic foe! Peach lands triumphantly onto the muddy ground, her head held high. Unfortunately, her high-heeled boots just sinks straight into the soaked ground. A look of panic quickly appears on Peach's face as she starts frantically trying to pull first her left leg out of the mud. Ugh! But all the water the Nakewameke had thrown around has made this mud super thick. This was going to be tougher than it looked!
Peach ceases her efforts when she hears Westar say something that sounded pretty bad. This allows her to see that the Nakewameke was already back up and ANGRY! The robot rainmaker was seemingly dumping all the water that it had left! This was really bad! The young teenager redoubles her efforts in getting unstuck. Letting forth a battlecry, Peach is able to remove a foot from her her mudstuck boot. But her other foot was still trapped, this effort causes Peach to fall into mud totally since her other foot was still stuck. Just great! She was now covered head to toe in MUD! It's going to take a lot to wash all of this clean.
It is at this precise moment that Peach remembers that she has forgotten something super important.....the Nakewameke was still attacking!
The mud-covered warrior can only put up her arms in vain as a -truck-load- of water crashes into her and sends her spiraling end over tea-kettle through the air. Eventually, Peach's velocity reaches zero when she slams into a nearby building. There is some silver lining to this. Peach has made a lovely outline of herself in the side of the building, she was finally free of the mud, and she was more or less washed clean of the mud thanks to the Nakewameke. This is all still small comfort to Peach who crumbles to the ground and into a large puddle. Splish. Splash.
But Cure Peach is not quite done yet! She may not be perfect like Berry or have the faith of Pine, but if anything, Love's got heart. One hand pushes against the ground as Cure Peach begins to lift herself up. A second hand joins in the effort and she eventually struggles to her bootless feet. She is a little wobbly, but Cure Peach does her best to stand as proud as she can. She looks first to the other magic girls to see if they were okay and then looks to Pine and Berry wherever they might be after that attack. "Everyone, let's end this! Let's.." Peach raises her hands slowly above her head. "...get our Happiness!" CLAP! "Nasty things, nasty things! Fly away!" The blonde warrior eventually manages out. Crossing her arms first, she forms a heart in front of herself. "Pretty Cure~ Love Sunshine!" An explosion of pink energy shoots out from Cure Peach towards the Nakewameke. She was putting everthing she had left into this one last attack! Hopefully, everyone else can do the same too!

Driving her foot down upon the Nakewameke, Pine then flips backwards, landing gracefully upon the wooden ground. A wide smile forms as she sees what their efforts had wrought, until she realizes, despite her graceful landing she's still stuck in the muck. She's not smiling for long, as the subsequent rampage by the Nakewameke sends her downwards with pressurized jets of water from above. Her shriek is cut off as she's slammed straight into the mud and is nearly washed away besides.
When she stands up her whole body is trembling and mud covered. Taking a deep breath, she steadies herself slowly, looking to her teammates first fretfully, and then to the others, before calling out. "B-Berry, Peach! Are you able to keep going?" So long as she could stand, she could still make a difference, all she had to do was endure.
And believe.
"Right, Peach! We need to stop him now!" She couldn't finish the monster on her own, but she wasn't alone. Maybe her efforts could give Peach and Berry the opening.
The mud-drenched golden Pretty Cure claps her hands above her head, bringing her arms down to her side as she speaks. "Nasty things, nasty things fly away!" She forms a diamond with her fingers. "Pretty Cure..." As she invokes the words, power forms between her fingers. "...Healing Prayer!" She spreads her fingers out, shimmering golden energy lashing out towards the Nakewameke. She joins her efforts with Peach, Berry, and all the other Mahou Shoujo in a determined attempt to put an end to this rainy day misery decisively!

It turned to chaos in a hurry. After the kick - that brief moment of triumph that Berry could hear Westar raging in his own little way... and her lips part in a brilliant smile, all teeth in spite of the mud and yuck that covered her. At least - until the nakewameke rages. The water rushes over her, blowing her to roll upon her side, casting her along the winds and otherwise. A beat - and Berry looks up, trying to find either of her friends.
It was getting darker, wasn't it?
A shadow. Something falling, and...! Berry starts to get up and dash forward - any direction that she could, but... the Nakewameke lands. It catches her foot most of all, pretty much slamming her to the ground like that. And that darkness - at least for a moment, becomes a little more tangible. But she was only blacked out a moment.
Waking up with a gasp, Berry starts pulling herself through the mud - ignoring the pain in her legs via sheer adreneline - only pausing to swoon down into a kneel when she gets a fair enough distance away, hand rising up to clutch over her heart. Her friends - all of the magical girls here - the mud-covered PreCure gives each a little look.
The blue heart was the emblem of hope. And she must not give up on it. Must not falter here - Not with love and belief to join the fray too.
Leg weak, Miki stands up strong, her eyes furrowed in a nasty glare towards the creature.
- CLAP!*
"Nasty things, wicked things - fly away!" she calls out, crossing her arms before herself, before she draws a spade in the air before herself. "Pretty Cure!" Again, a call to her friends, serving the double purpose of an attack call as well. But now - she focuses in, eyes like lasers on the creature. "Espoir! Shower!"
And blue joins pink and yellow to attack the nakewameke.

Tsukiko might not have gotten the Nakewameke tangled up on itself, but as least she managed to stomp on its feet a few times. When the Pretty Cures slam into the youma, she takes the opportunity to dash clear, getting some distance before turning back around. "I think we're getting there!" she smiles to the others, an eye still on the Nakewameke.
The smile falls off of her face when the deluge starts. She tries darting clear of the watery bombardment, but she loses her footing as the water churns the mud at her heels, sending her sprawling. The wolfgirl tumbles through the mud, coming to rest when she bumps into a tree.
Standing to her feet, she watches the Pretty Cures unleash brilliant energy upon the Nakewameke. Nodding with determination, she takes a deep breath and howls at the youma. Her voice carries a wordless song, of the joy of watching a rainbow after the rain, of the fresh smell in the air once rain has gone, and of all of the plants looking pretty, their raindrop-bedecked leaves sparkling in the sun. To most ears, it's a lovely sound.
To those of darkness, it's painfully dissonant when focused on them.

"Is Eas your commander?!" La Sirene blurts, recovering herself as the Pretty Cure make their strike. The Nakewameke's erupting bursts send her flying back - landing heavily in her swamped rowboat, letting out a "hnh!" of dismay as she strikes her back...
La Sirene sits upright, sweeping her hair out of her eyes. In time to see Love Sunshine burst outwards. A Healing Prayer.
The chant of the Pretty Cure makes la Sirene's cheeks bloom for a moment, and she looks down at her mirror with an instant of doubt. How far is the gulf between herself and this cruel man of the mysterious Mobius, she wonders.
A small paw rests on her leg, and the moment of doubt dissipates. La Sirene looks down to small warm black eyes, and then back up, straightening her back. The Black Mirror in her hands turns over and over.
As the Espoir Shower comes, la Sirene says softly, "Appel de la Foudre. Your target is the creature - Nakewameke - that says such cruel things."
And then she holds the mirror aloft, the wind plucking at her hair. "Lay back and dream -"
The charm ripples silver through the air, and with shocking brightness a bolt of lightning arcs from somewhere above, down towards the Nakewameke. The thunder rolls afterwards, muted and gentled to a mere massive kettle-drum note instead of the ear-splitting burst of thunder so typically the case. It counterpoints Tsukiko's howl quite nicely, a single percussive note.
"On a rainy day," la Sirene concludes.

Nadeshiko grins at her success, and opens her hand, miming as though grasping. And, with a flash of pink and a rush of ethereal cherry blossoms, the thrown naginata is right back there in her hands. Sass! Nadeshiko swips it back up into an attack posture, and rightly so...because that Nakewameke is going nuts!
Nadeshiko dodges as best she can, and manages to sweep away from one of the water jets - but then she's blasted straight in the chest, taking a water jet square on and sent blubbering and sputtering back until she crashes painfully into a tree! It's only when the Nakewameke runs clean out that she's freed up, wheezing and huffing to regain her air. In that time she gets to witness the awesome light of Fresh Pretty Cure releasing all their magic at the robot sprinkler monster! Nadeshiko huffs and puffs indelicately for a long few seconds after ward - and then plants her naginata to lean on it for a second. "Wow...so that's the power of a Pretty Cure," she marvels, and fingers tighten slowly around her staff. "Well...sorry! I don't work that way! Hey, monster!"
And then she's charging openly across the gap, howling a wordless, incoherent war cry as she eats up the distance, nimble feet managing to find the few patches of solid footing left. "STAY STILL WHILE I CARVE OUT YER PIECES!" she calls, and then her naginata all but disappears behind a flurry of rapid streaks and swipes, her arms pushing far harder and far faster than any ordinary little girl! "Maybe I can use 'em to dry off my clothes! YOU JERK!"

When the Nakewameke's last-ditch storm ends, it struggles to stand. Should its assault have been successful, victory is Labyrinth's. But if not...
Like a tiny furious comet, Nadeshiko slams into the Nakewameke with a brutally swift combo, tearing at the metal, ruining what was left of its ability to contain water. A blinding bolt of lightning strikes, paralyzing it in place as Tsukiko's howl resounds - and on his tree branch, Westar has to cover his ears for a moment. The Nakewameke, savaged by blade and storm and song all at once, begins to topple it.
Then, the purifying light hits. Pink and blue and yellow blend together in a fresh-scented storm, washing over the Nakewameke. The combined light, reinforced by everyone's effort, is nearly blinding - there's an audible 'fizzzzzzzz' as the evil in the Data Diamond bubbles away under the onslaught.
When the light fades, the skies are bright once more. No more downpours, no more storms, no more rampaging monster. Where it stood, there's nothing left but a battered discount-store lawn sprinkler.
From his tree, Westar bites off a curse. "You...I won't forget this! May none of you have an umbrella next time it rains!" With that parting condemnation, he leaps away - perhaps it's finally time to go back to the mansion and see just how productive the last few days were.

By everyone's powers combined, they were able to defeat the Nakewameke! A look of pure relief appears on Cure Peach's face when the lights fade and a very normal looking water sprinkler remains. But their victory is also greeted with not only the rain stopping, but also with the sun appearing finally after so many days.
Cure Peach grins brightly up as she outstretches her arms briefly to welcome the returning sun, but this warm feeling is short lived as she soon sneezes again. She was still drenched from all the water and she felt pretty beaten down from the Nakewameke's final assault. Peach panics briefly as she reminds herself of the others who were hit by the Nakewameke too. "Pine!" She calls out before adding, "Berry!" to the mix. Peach then runs over to her Cure comrades before looking out over the other magic girls whom had come to help too. They looked pretty battered too! It was a hard fight for everyone it seemed!
"We did it!" Peach announces aloud before forming a non-explosion inducing heart with her hands. ACHOO! Her sneeze causes her to let go of the heart,but she soon smiles through it all. "We'll all get our happiness yet!" She declares proudly before taking a breather herself now near Berry and Pine. No matter how rainy and dark it may seem, happiness and the sun were always right around the corner.

Nadeshiko ducks back and clears the hell out before the blasts hit. She can't know for sure what that'll do to her innocent and pure (neither of those) person.
Result: The sky is clear, the rains have stopped, and Nadeshiko issss standing there in her soaked and dirty Ohtori Guardian outfit, huffing a breath. She manages to find her way upright, eyes clearing to the sky and taking a deep breath. "Satisfied?" she wonders to Temari.
"KICK THE SPRINKLER!" Temari shrills in her ear.
"Yes, then," Nadeshiko says, and with a low sigh, releases the knot of magic tension in her thoughts that represents her Chara Change. There's a mystical pop! and the naginata disappears, her slightly elaborate cherry blossom hair ornament changes to a more typical length of ornamental string, and Nadeshiko produces a smile for the magical warriors that is more 'polite little girl' than 'that thing that was just happening.'
"I guess you all had to see me in a bit of a mood," she says, with delicate inflection. Like a completely different character! "Thanks to all your hard work, that thing won't be bothering anyone anymore. Though I get the feeling we'll be seeing Westar again...still. Thank you."

"That's fine," la Sirene murmurs in reply to the departing Westar's words. "I'll take that curse gladly..."
She'll regret it later, of course.
The sun comes out, and a small pain goes through la Sirene's head - not so much the sun itself, as its sudden appearance.
"You should warm yourself, soon, Pretty Cures," she calls, settling down on the seat of her boat. It's already drifting downstream, now that the Nakewameke's suction isn't pulling it closer. "I hope we'll meet again soon...!"

Tsukiko watches Westar depart, and waves as la Sirene floats away on her boat. Taking a quick look around to make sure none of the other magical girls are within a few meters of her, she rigorously shakes like a dog, sending mud and water flying as she tries to dry off. "I'm certainly looking forward to sunny weather," the wolfgirl smiles to Nadeshiko and the others.

While pushed to the point of exhaustion, Cure Pine still stands, barely, when the water sprinkler falls. Still standing tall, her shoulders sag upon the realization that the battle is over. She moves a hand to her long golden side tail, looking ruefully at the large clump of mud that emerges. Looking up as Peach runs over to check on her, she gives her a wide smile.
Watching Peach celebrate, she walks up to her, "I believe we'll get it yet, but..." She puts a hand to Peach's forehead, just under her blonde bangs. "...you feel a bit warm to me, Peach. So you'll probably need some bed rest." And it was only days from Spring Break, such a shame!
She then turns to Berry, "Are you alright? You were perfect, Berry!" Because to Pine, Berry is always perfect, even with her makeup and hair ruined, and covered in mud.
Pine waves towards the mysterious girl in the boat. "Thanks for your help!" Nadeshiko gets an inquisitive look, looking like she's a bit worried, "Do you get moods like that often?"

Nadeshiko titters. "It'll make my shopping easier," she admits in the Cute Wolf's direction. ...she sorta wishes she could just shake off like that...
Her outfit is obvious enough; Ohtori elementary girls, with the (wet, dirty) plaid cape of a Guardian. The Guardians have to work a little harder before they start getting cool outfits unless they are Amu. Still, she titters demurely in Pine's direction. "I'm afraid I simply have no patience for such miscreants. It's a Guardian's responsibility to ensure the happiness of others, after all." Explaining Guardian Characters and their magic would take much more energy than she cares to put in while she's still soaked from a sprinkler monster, particularly since she doubts anyone here can even see Temari hovering over her shoulder. Ugh, what's she even going to do, she can't go home like this, can she...? Mother will think she was out rough-housing or something.
...which she was, but not like that.

"Do what you can to make the world a better place," Tsukiko nods. It's a sentiment she's familiar with; after all, what better way to show that that her family's seeming curse of mild lycanthropy can be used as a force for good?
"I will admit, this Westar seems to be getting more effective with his youma," the wolfgirl continues. "He tried using a trashcan monster a while back, but it sounded like he hadn't accomplished as much with that one as he did with this sprinkler." At least this time the Nakewameke was defeated, instead of merely being forced to retreat.

Pine is a bit nervous as she realizes that the girl standing before her is the Queen's Chair at Ohtori, complete with Guardian uniform. She doesn't know much about the concept of recognition inhibition. She's relieved that she isn't popular enough at Ohtori that one of the elementary school celebrities would recognize her on sight.
It does make her think about who exactly at Ohtori is able to challenge monsters. Part of her tries to picture other classmates like Wakaba as a Pretty Cure, and the image gives her dot eyes. She smiles brightly at her, though her tone displays some awkwardness as she feigns ignorance. She clasps her hands together in front of her, "O-Oh I see. So you make sure others get their happiness, just like Peach."
Turning to Tsukiko, perhaps relieved for the interruption, she bobs her head, "Westar always gives us a rough fight. His Nakewameke should never be underestimated. It's just that usually his plans seem more spur of the moment." It was a rare example of forward thinking and weighing long term gain. It seemed more like a Soular plan, and the thought makes her worry. Soular's deviousness combined with the might of Westar's Nakewameke would be an difficult combination!

The fact that Nadeshiko is blatantly identifying herself as carrying out the ordinary duties of a Guardian may also stand out. Do they all turn into crazy knife-wielding yakuza!? But Nadeshiko, for all her responsibilities and careful attention to the students of Ohtori, doesn't recognize the mighty Cure Pine at all!
She might have noticed that nervousness, though. Tough to tell. Actors, you know? "Yes. Peach and I have - well, I'm not sure hitting the same person at the same time counts as working together..." She laughs, polite, at her own joke. "But yes, the Guardians consider it our responsibility to make sure people can enjoy themselves. Sometimes that means we have to do things like this...bringing about despair like that intentionally is..." Her eyes furrow. "Unacceptable. Childrens' hearts are so fragile as it is."
