Fate Testarossa searched the top of the vanity dresser for any sign of her ribbons - but there wasn't a one. The mirror in front of her showed two reflections. One of her - and another that could be her - if she wasn't so small. After a few moments of watching - the other girl asked, "Can't find them?"
"Ah I was just... looking for my favorites..." Alicia smiled, then walked up alongside her, opening another drawer. "The ones I gave you right? Leave it to me!" Fate had no answer for her. "Um." As Alicia produced two bright blue ribbons that matched the color of her dress. "Mmm - why don't you sit down and leave this to your oneechan?"
Fate looked a little shell-shocked as she obeyed, sitting herself down in the small chair. Facing the vanity mirror. As if it were a well-practiced sibling ritual her smaller bigger sister ran her fingers through her hair and fluffed it out before straightening it and running a brush down her golden hair in steady strokes.
She then used her hand to halve her long hair and started tying up the first ribbon around it. "You just had a really bad scare didn't you? Well let me tell you something - your oneechan knows a little something about nightmares."
As she gathered up the hair to tie the second, Alicia leaned off to the side with a big smile, "And this is my way of protecting my imouto from all those bad feelings. When you look at yourself wearing them - you can think of me - being right there beside you. And then suddenly those feelings will just flutter away."
A wolf puppy lounging off to the side mentioned off-handedly, "That's just about the only way you can protect her given how hopeless you are at magic."
It's a good thing Alicia had just finished tying the second in a bow, as she whirls around, in indignation and a pout, "Hey! Why do you have to bring that up!?" Her eyes trailed back towards Fate - who was looking just sideways, as she clasped her hands together in a pleading gesture.
"Feito! You don't mind tutoring me right? Please! Then I could protect you properly... ah - but also there's this new dress I want and Mama said she won't buy it for me unless I make a better score on the next test!"
Fate just stated a little awkwardly, "I... I... of course... Alicia..." Alicia made this little squeal of delight and started hugging her from behind. "You're the best Feito!" Fate stiffened within the hug. It felt like being hugged by a mirror. She felt like all she could do is stay still.
Because if she returned the gesture - applied even the smallest amount of pressure.
Then the other girl might just shatter like glass.
