Schools: Uniforms
Each of the schools have official uniforms for their elementary, middle, and high school branches, based on the uniforms from some of our core themes. Most of the schools are fairly lax, however, and will allow personal touches: ties, ribbons, socks, sweaters, etc. If your character is from a theme with a unique uniform, you can make a blend of the two! Played characters often get away with more personal touches to their uniforms. Student Council members also usually have variations on their uniform.
Here are the official uniforms we are using:
- Ohtori Academy: Elementary (Nurse Angel Ririka SOS), Middle (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), High (Mai-HiME)
- Infinity Institute: Elementary (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), Middle (Miki Aono of Fresh Pretty Cure and Ouji Masamune of Suite Pretty Cure), High (Cardcaptor Sakura)
- Juuban Public School: Elementary (Cardcaptor Sakura), Middle (Hikaru Shidou of Magic Knight Rayearth and Masaya Aoyama of Tokyo Mew Mew), High (Futari wa Pretty Cure)
To give our game's uniforms the introduction they deserve, we're going to turn the mic over to a special guest...
G-g-g-goooooooooood eveniiiiiing, everyone, and welcome to the segment of our game where we introduce the new Sister Schools uniforms of 2014!! I'm your host, Keroberos, Sun Guardian of the Clow, but you can call me Kero-chan! Let's be good friends!!

Juuban Elementary School
Let's start with the very best: the cute and talented Sakura Kinomoto of Cardcaptor Sakura can be seen here with her lovely friend Tomoyo Daidoji, modeling the Juuban Elementary winter uniform! Look at those freshly pressed white skirts, admire the crisp black jackets with white-and-red sailor collar and tie, and of course, the fabulous sailor beret! And they're being escorted by a special someone too, ohohoho~~
There I am again!! The camera can't stay away from me. Sakura is wearing the Juuban elementary summer uniform here, which is more or less a palette swap! How clever and symmetrical, the way the white skirt becomes black, the black long-sleeved shirt becomes a white short-sleeved shirt, and the tie becomes red! Don't mistake the skating equipment for official uniform, though, that's Sakura's special look and I will punish anyone who steals it!! On the right as a special bonus feature we have the Juuban elementary PE uniform, white shirt and black shorts.
Kero-chan... CHECK!! I have been told I have to include the boys' Juuban elementary uniforms, so here they are, modeled by some unnamed jerk. You can tell he's a jerk from the faces he makes all the time. Look at him, he's so stupid!! The uniform is pretty nice though -- it's the same as the girls', but with shorts instead of a skirt, and in the summer, T-shirt sleeves instead of puffy sleeves suitable for a princess. Also note that the winged sigil you can see on the shoulder is not actually present here; that's the mark of a private school, but Juuban is very much public, so consider it gone!
Juuban Middle School
Now we'll move on to the Juuban middle school uniforms! The girls' uniform is modeled by the wonderful Hikaru Shidou of Magic Knight Rayearth. It is in many ways a natural extension of the elementary uniform, with its red, black, and white! But now the red is in the cardigan, the white in the blouse and bow, and the black -- with a handsome red stripe -- in the skirt. On the right you see ME!! and also examples of the summer uniform, which simply leaves off the red cardigan and replaces long blouse sleeves with more cute puffy ones.
The boys' middle school uniform can be seen on Masaya Aoyama of Tokyo Mew Mew! Once again, winter is on the left, summer on the right. Much as the sailor collars are simple and traditional public school fare, the zip-up front of this gray uniform is also a classic aesthetic. In the summer, no jacket necessary, but make sure you keep those collars clean, gentlemen!!
Juuban High School
Finally we have the Juuban high school uniforms! The girls' winter uniform is seen here, modeled by Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro of Futari wa Pretty Cure! Red continues to play a prominent role, in the jackets and vest, now accented with blue bows and a blue-green plaid skirt. Some girls wear their mature, high-school blazers properly closed, while others wear them open! Either way is acceptable, according to me, Kero-chan!!
Juuban high school boys wear a similar uniform, with red blazer and blue tie! Here we have the winter uniform, with gray pants, modeled on the left by Shougo Fujimura -- and the summer uniform, with dark green pants, maybe to hide all the grass stains, by Fujipi, Kiriya, and the rest of the cast! In summer the blazer is optional; don't get overheated, and drink lots of water!
Infinity Institute: Elementary
Kero-chan... CHECK!! Now we're switching schools, from quaint public school Juuban to high-pressure, high-reward elite academic school Infinity Institute. Here we see nice, clear-edged outlines of the boys' and girls' elementary school winter uniforms from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha -- the boys wear shorts, a long-sleeved shirt, a tie, and a sailor collar, while the girls wear a sailor-collared dress with a jacket over it! Let's get a better look...
...ohoho! Full color, ta daaaa! And it's Nanoha Takamachi, showing off the white dress edged in darkest navy blue, with a cute red ribbon! The boys' uniform is equivalently colored -- now you can take the previous picture and shade it in at home, boys and girls! Go ahead, try it! Then ask your mom for help so you can cut it out and put it on your fridge!
In the summer, the girls lose the jacket, shorten the skirts, and swap their ribbons from red to blue! Don't forget about the cute gray belts!! I, Kero-chan, have been asked to note that although this picture comes from a spin-off of the core Nanoha canon, that spin-off is in no way part of the game itself, so your Yu-Gi-Oh! crossover fantasies will have to stay just that!! It's wonderful however that they added an official Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha summer uniform. The girls look so cute! There is no boys' uniform example, but of course the winter shirt sleeves get shorter while the rest stays the same. Pretty boring, fellas, but them's the breaks!
Infinity Institute: Middle
Infinity Middle School is another two-theme split! The girls are looking ~just perfect~, their uniform modeled by the gorgeous Miki Aono of Fresh Pretty Cure! Check out the winter uniform, with its pleated blue skirt and handsome, puff-sleeved jacket. If you look closely, you can see the way the jacket sleeves flare at the wrist, revealing a darker blue layer beneath, and the long white underblouse sleeves below that. The sailor collar from the elementary school days is present as well! Note that while Miki is rocking black tights, they are not part of the official uniform; any legwear is acceptable so long as it isn't distractingly garish, so keep those lime green legwarmers at home.
Kero-chan... CHECK!! In summer, the sailor collar look is replaced with more of a short-sleeved blazer! Inori Yamabuki, in yellow in the picture on the right, looks cute as a button too but is not representative, so please ignore her. Sorry, Buki! Feast your eyes instead on the neat way that the shirt buttons over on one side, and how there's again a white part beneath, for when the days get too hot! Miki and the Infinity middle school girls are going to be just perfect, no matter what temperature!
Infinity Institute: High
Kero-chan... CHECK AGAIN!!! Infinity high school students are once again modeled by the cast of Cardcaptor Sakura -- here's that annoying Nakuru Akizuki, showing off the light blue blazer and dark blue tie and skirt that they wear in winter! She may be a big meanie, but that uniform sure is cute! Note that the patch is quite present here, but rather than being the cross of Tomoeda High School, it's the black star, with white infinity symbol, of Infinity Institute!
Touya Kinomoto and Yukito Tsukishiro are seen here modeling the Infinity high school uniform! You can also get a better look at the tie they all wear - it's trimmed in gold at the tip, with the Infinity seal embroidered on! Like the girls, they wear a powdery blue blazer, but they sport dark gray slacks instead of a skirt. They're pretty okay guys, though I don't really understand what Sakura sees in that Yukito...
Finally we have the Infinity high school summer uniform, shown on Nakuru and Touya! As usual, the blazers are banished as the heat rises, and the shirts underneath have comfortable, short sleeves! If you look carefully you can see that Touya is eating a popsicle. This is a very good idea!! Now I also want one...
Ohtori Academy: Elementary
Allow me, your adorable host, Kero-chan, to take you at last to the fairy-tale splendor of Ohtori Academy. If Juuban's uniforms are notably red, and Infinity's notably blue, the core color at Ohtori this year is yellow! And don't Ririka Moriya of Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, and her friends, do the elementary school winter uniform justice? The yellow jackets, cute brown string-ties, and red skirts make for a perfect combination! If you look very closely in the bottom right of the picture you can see part of the boys' uniform. Let's zoom in here...
Ririka's back for the summer uniform, joined by her friend, Seiya Uzaki, who seems to have done something foolish!! I am confident that whatever Ririka's upset about, it's all his fault, but it can't possibly be their cute uniforms, which take off the jackets, add a vest, and keep the sleeves puffy and cute for the girls, and loose and simple for the boys! This is getting to be a pattern, but it wouldn't be Ohtori without puffy girl sleeves, would it?
As a special note, Ohtori Academy student council members on all levels tend to have customized uniforms that are totally different from the rest of the student body's! They can vary in color and style, but on the elementary school level, the Guardians still don their traditional and cute red (for girls) and blue (for boys) plaid outfits, featuring especially their extra-rad Guardian capes. Some styles never go out of fashion!
Ohtori Academy: Middle
For Ohtori Middle School, we have the winter uniform modeled by the cast of Puella Magi Madoka Magica! The yellow is creamier now in the overlayer, with puffy sleeves, of course, and still trimmed in red! Aren't those red ribbons lovely? Now the skirts are black and white plaid, rather formal and reserved, like a proper private school girl should be!
Kero-chan... CHECK!! We regret to say that there are only two boys in Puella Magi Madoka Magica with names, but we've managed to show them both here. Kyousuke Kamijou is showing off the boys' uniform, all in cream with black trim, on the left. If you look closely, we've got a special point in the middle, showing the red layer of trim in the shirt cuffs! What a nice design! Finally, Nakazawa-kun gives us another angle of the high-collared jacket on the right. Good luck with the eggs, Nakazawa-kun! Are both of these boys fated to have broken hearts?
Unfortunately there is no canonical example of summer uniforms from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but we've got some great fanart by Kinfuji instead! The long sleeves of the overlayer shorten... but the puffiness remains!! Watch your head, Mami-chan!
Ohtori Academy: High
Last but not least, Ohtori High School has retained the dazzling yellow uniforms from Mai-HiME! Here we have variations on the girls' winter uniform sported by Mai Tokiha, Natsuki Kuga, and, in the back, Akane Higurashi and Yukino Kikukawa! There are a few interlopers photobombing this shot, so I have helpfully crossed them out for you, pay no attention to them! Instead follow the green arrows to the sporty yellow jackets and cute gray skirts. Look closely in the back at Yukino to see the most traditional version of the uniform, with the red ribbon with a little white stripe! Mai has replaced hers with a red scarf, while Natsuki is wearing a hoodie underneath her open jacket! There's lots of room for individuality at Ohtori Academy, wow!!
Here we have the Ohtori High School girls in summer (and Mikoto photobombing again in the blue, but just ignore that pesky cat). On the left, Mai shows one option, a yellow vest with sleeveless white shirt underneath; up front and central, Akane is sporting the same look! Chie and Aoi show the typical alternative with slightly longer sleeves. Some girls wear the red ribbon and some don't!
Kero-chan... FINAL CHECK!! Our models for the Ohtori High School boys' uniform are Kazuya Kurauchi (left, summer) and Yuuichi Tate (right, winter). Note that Tate is pretty slovenly as well as having a big stupid face, but at least with the jacket open you can see the vest they all wear underneath! For a better example of what the boys' uniform is supposed to look like, check out the no-name extra under the green arrow. He's wearing the regulation blue tie and everything. Boys who hope to be lucky in love are encouraged to follow his example, because Tate is a very bad role model for romance, and I, your host, Kero-chan, am a love expert!!
That's all for now, everyone! Join me next time on... Leave It To Kero-chan!!
