Dear Grandpa,
I'm not really sure how to start this letter. I started a scrapbook, to show you everything that's been going on with me, but not everything I've been thinking of is really a moment I can put into a photo or a printout. So I'm writing this letter to go in the scrapbook, so I can say some things that have been on my mind, and help remind myself of how far I've come.
First, I wanted to say I'm sorry. I know you and Shiori have been worried about me, because of how wrapped up I got in my projects. I know I really made you guys worry, and I'm really really sorry. You both never gave up on me though, and I wish I'd listened to you both sooner. Thank you for always supporting me and believing in me, and I hope someday I'll get to tell you that in person. I've started working really hard again. I included the results from my entrance exam and my finals! I know they should be better, but I'm trying again. I hope I get to tell you about that someday, too.
There's another reason I'm sorry, though. I found out about the Staff of Wise Levin, and Shiori told me about what your work really is. I know it's stupid, but I can't help but think, if I'd been more responsible sooner, then maybe you could have told me about the Staff, or at least about your work, and I could have helped you in some way. I know that you going missing isn't my fault, but it's hard not to feel like I could have made a difference somehow, if you guys could have trusted me more.
But the Staff knew I was ready. It called to me, and at first I was too scared, but with Yumi-chan and Shiori's help I finally accepted.
I am The Witch of Wise Levin.
I'm going to do my best to keep fixing things. I'm going to do my best to fight The Hungry Queen, and make sure she doesn't succeed. I'm going to make both you and Shiori proud. And I'm going to figure out what happened to you and bring you back home. Promise.
Oh! And I should explain… Yumi Ohzora is a friend I made. She was really kind and supportive to me when I was alone in the Infinity Dorms, and she is also The Witch of Lost Ivy. (Yumi-chan said it was okay if I mentioned her. She said that if both Tama and Shiori trust you, that she could too.) She's really brave, and she makes me feel like it's possible to start fixing all the mistakes I've made. Sometimes I wish she'd be more careful, but I'm doing my best to look out for her and keep her safe. I look up to her a lot, and she's become really important to me, too.
She's important to me in the same way that you and Shiori are important to me. I'm doing my best to not let her down too, so she can be proud of me.
Just like how I hope you'll be proud of me when you get back and see all the effort I've been making.
I just know you'll be back someday. I'm sure of it. And until you're back I promise I won't stop trying to figure out a way to bring you home.
I really miss you, Grandpa. Please come back soon.

Another selfie, this one of Wise Levin and another witchy magical girl who is dressed more traditionally than Levin's more modern garb. They're both huddled in close, smiling for the camera, though with their arms around each other and their free hands holding their staves, it's not clear who's holding the camera. It looks to be on the same rooftop as the full body photo. The caption reads, 'Wise Levin and Lost Ivy! Together we're unstoppable!'
A printout of the results from Raiko's entrance exams for Infinity High School, her final exam scores, and several pages of a paper she wrote. They're all markedly better than prior years, though still have room for improvement. The caption reads, 'I'm trying, Grandpa, honest. See?'
A picture of a phone case with an enchantment inscribed in it, along with a diagram showing the details of the enchantment. There's a note on the diagram that reads, 'Finally got this to work! Still needs testing though.'
Another schematic, this one far more complex than the previous, and invoking ancient magics. In the upper left corner is a picture of Raiko's enchanted cell phone, a modern smartphone with a metallic blue shell, and in the bottom right is a picture of the phone dismantled, showing all of the enchantments and how they were laid. In the upper right is a picture of a pair of steel goggles, of an old style but in impeccable condition, with perfectly clear lenses. A note in the lower left of the schematic reads, 'This is the spell protecting Wise Levin now! I had to rework it based on Ivy's spell, which was really really hard. But when I completed it, the staff awarded me with these goggles. They look really cool, but don't seem to be magical.'
The diagram Raiko used to restore the wards in Kenji's study. A photo in the upper right shows the study, in order, if organized slightly differently from before. A note reads, 'When Wise Levin activated, it kind of maybe sort of ruined the wards in your study. And wrecked your study. Sorry!! But I fixed the wards using Wise Levin's magic and cleaned up the office as best I could. P.S. I also added Yumi-chan, Tama, and myself to the list of people allowed to access it. It only seemed fair, since they helped me clean up, and, well, I had to do the enchanting. Hope that was okay.'
