Summary: Having freed the world from the grip of the God Among Men and Maiden of Dreams, the magical girls head back down the mountain, to meet all their friends. Humanity awakens from their unnatural sleep feeling a little bit closer to one another than they did before.

The sun rises over the garden of the gods.

It sparkles on all the new snow, glorious powder that shimmers nearly as brightly and prismatically as the departing maiden of dreams. It will be very easy to get back to the lodge from here -- gravity can do most of the work.

Gravity will also take them past their guardians, who fought a tremendously dangerous, outmatched battle while the mission to the dreamworld took place; they kept their promises. The line was held, if not without cost.

As people awaken around the world, it is with a beautiful dream that dances right before their eyes: the silhouettes of over two dozen maidens, arms around each others' shoulders, smiles pouring off of them like waves in the sea. It causes mothers to make a nice, surprise breakfast for their daughters. It causes politicians to consider softening their platforms, and one or two peace talks that had been in progress have an unexpectedly good day, as the ambassadors imagine such a hopeful future for their children as well.

It won't be remembered as anything special, the phenomenon forgotten, ephemeral.

But there is nothing unimportant about even a single hour of dawn where everyone looks out their windows, and sees how lovely and precious the world really is.
