Deadline: Monday. The cram schools of Tokyo are seeing better business than normal. While usually their enrolment consists largely of those seeking academic perfection or salvation from the lowest of grades, this time of year is host to a larger audience than normal.

Tomorrow, after all, are the host of high school entrance exams.

While the vast majority of students desperately studying last minute are from the ninth grade, hoping to make the difference between admission and failure to their chosen school, they are not the exclusive patrons. In some cases, transfer to a new school might require taking the same test - or perhaps in the wake of midterms, students are more desperate than usual to make up for their weaknesses.

Still, tensions are high, because those all-important high school level exams are in less than twenty-four hours. This cram school in particular is packed, classroom after classroom showing the same sight: row after row of desks occupied with studious youths and piled high with books.

The clock ticks incessantly as the teacher at the front of the room goes on and on about what vocabulary terms can be expected most often on tests. One student in particular seems to be handling the stress worse than most, however.

On one side there is a desk. The books are piled in a haphazard heap, as the desk's occupant - a large blond-haired man, maybe a high schooler - looks from one tome to the next. He looks up often, bewildered and frustrated, before burying his head in another book for a few seconds. Occasionally, he can be heard to mutter about not being warned about things being like this. Some of these classes have students snap, so maybe he'll be today's first...

The teacher - in this room, and in others in the building - continues to drone on. "In addition to vocabulary, you will be expected to complete a portion of literary analysis..."

Fuu Hououji isn't actually in ninth grade yet, and she doesn't have any desire to *skip* a grade ... but she believes in trying to prepare for things in advance instead of waiting until the last minute, or even the eleventh hour, and so she's subjecting herself to examination hell for the sake of knowing what she'll be in for come this time next year.

It is very possible that she's regretting it - but then, the harder it is THIS year, the more she knows she'll need to prepare over the next twelve months. At least the exams she'll be sitting for tomorrow are only simulated and won't actually determine her eligibility to advance from eighth grade to ninth within Infinity Institute.

Her REGULAR final exams hold that sovereign duty - but Fuu is pretty sure she's ready for them.

In the meantime, Fuu is staying alert, sitting up straight in her seat, listening attentively to the teacher, and taking reasonably copious notes on both the structure of the exams, and the details of subject matter that come up.

Normally, Mei wouldn't touch a cram school with a 10-foot pole. Given how hard it is for her to pay attention in /normal/ school, attending such an institution would be wasted money anyway, since she usually has very little motivation to study on her own. So then why is the little red-headed girl sitting at the back of a classroom of much more studious fourth graders, with two English textbooks and a worksheet in front of her?

Simple: she doesn't want to repeat the embarrassment of the other day, when she could barely sound out a paragraph of a fairy tale in front of that high schooler. Well, and there's still a big test coming up. But that sting from feeling stupid is a powerful (albeit temporary) motivator.

Doesn't stop her from being bored out of her skull, though.

With a sigh of frustration, she skips yet another problem on the worksheet and pencils in 'I HATE ENGLISH >:/' on the top of the paper, in her chicken scratch English letters. Why does she have to learn a language that's so different from her own? Won't Chinese be the dominant world language by the time she's grown up, anyway? Grrr.

Reiko Touyama is a girl with a plan. It's a very good plan. It's in her backpack right now, and she wants to show Mei it. It'll most certainly, without a doubt, work. She spent all day yesterday working on them! So she packed them and began her trip over to Mei's house, where Roy related that Mei was- sadly- not in today. When asking about where she was, and relating she was in a cram school in all places. She grew suspicious. Mei was many awesome things. And Awesome at many things. But studying diligently was not a thing Mei typically did unless she was made to--- and the last time Mei acted uncharistically odd like this, well---she was hiding a terrible magical secret from her. Surely there's not MORE horrible magical secrets- really, how many could there BE, but she is wondering what's possibly up. She's concerned.

AND Thusly, Reiko waits on a bench outside as she sips from a soda can, another one on the bench next to her- most likely for Mei when she gets out. Sugar always sweetens the deal and makes people happier. Usually. Unless you're diabetic. Then maybe not.

She kind of looks bored. She wonders how much longer the session runs for. Certaintly it can't be THAT much longer.

Love Momozono is also not a big fan of cram schools. A school that you attend on top of your normal school? That's like adding insult to injury or mayonaise on top of a donut. It was just wrong. But Love didn't need to like cram schools for her to come to one today. She was here to congratulate an upperclassman after she was done there today. The exciteable young teenager has even made a big sign to surprise her classmate with. However, holding such a thing did make Love stick out like a sore thumb while she waits outside the cram school with it.

But thankfully, a person has two thumbs and Love didn't have to make this sign or wait here by herself. She had an accomplice in all of this by the name of Miki Aono. Love Momozono was thrilled that Miki was here too. This actually made the waiting part not that bad as it gave time for the two busy girls to catch up things. And after the museum trip yesterday, Love also had a -lot- of stuff she wanted to ask and talk to Miki about.

There hadn't been a whole lot of time for Miki Aono to talk to her friend about museum things so far. Most of their time together so far had been gathering materials for the sign, and putting their hearts and souls into it~ Love no doubt had added a lot of embellishments to the sign of her own, but Miki's mark on it was a butterfly, cut from an iridescent paper that she had managed to find entirely on accident in one of the surrounding stores. 

Ever patient with Love's difficulty with the sign - and equally impressed with the creativity and thoughtfulness that went into it, they had created the sign together, and hopefully, it might cheer up their acquantice when she managed to finish the grueling task of exams. 

So this was really the first time they really managed to settle down. Miki looks at the cram school with no small amount of trepidation - as if the school were the avatar of the sword of Damoscles that hung over their collective heads, promising of the turmoil they would go through in a scant 365 days. But for now...! 

"This really was an excellent idea, Love - how did you think of it?" she asks.

The cram school. The home of the studious, temporarily host to the desperate. The instructor pauses in his droning lecture to hand out practice exams, and the scratch of pencil on paper can be heard in every classroom. Most students are taking this seriously, putting earnest effort into trying to do their best to be prepared for upcoming tests.

Others are flailing desperately, frustrated by what they cannot comprehend. Among these is the blond-haired man, staring at a blank test as if it has offered him a personal offence. Hayato Nishi does not understand. It's like his housemate's books, but a hundred times worse. Unimaginably academic and tedious - and these humans subject themselves to this willingly? This den of boredom and despair and misery-

"...hang on."

The gears start turning, and Hayato's brow furrows in concentration. He looks at that test one more time - that abominable sheet of paper taunting him with incomprehensible questions - and his eyes narrow further. This place...now, he knows where he has been sent. What he has come to learn. What he must do.

There is an interruption. That desk off to the side is now airborne - outright flipped in a haze of fury and frustration. Unread books tumble through the air, temporarily obscuring the desk's occupant from sight- and abruptly, someone else entirely is there.

Clad in black and gold, bearing a white cape, a muscular mint-haired man with an expression of determination and fury. Before Westar, a yellow diamond appears - one he grasps, and stabs violently to pin a fluttering test to the wall.

"NAKEWAMEKE! OBEY MY COMMAND!"

The wall - one shared with the outside of the cram school - explodes. In the wreckage stands a monster of paper and steel - a giant version of an entrance exam, pages fluttering in the breeze. Textbooks form broad shoulderpads - with Westar himself perched atop one of them - and snakelike metal limbs extend out. The paper-machine-monster's face is one of fury, completed with thick opaque glasses.

"NUMBER TWO PENCILS ONLY!"

From the creature's shoulder, Westar seethes. "I am Westar, denizen of Labyrinth - you who subject yourselves to this kind of misery - just give that misery to Mobius-sama!"

Fuu blinks, looking up from her practice test at the sudden explosion and crash and shouting ...

And, rather decorously given the circumstances, slumps out of her chair, vanishing under her desk as though she just fainted dead away at the sight of a monster. Once she's 'safely' on the floor, she digs in a pocket for her glove-jewel and starts picking her way ... oh, towards the outside wall, the one the monster appeared in. In the back of her head, Fuu is wondering just how anyone is going to explain the hole in the wall - but more importantly, she needs to stop being a civilian for a little bit.

"Belief becomes power," she murmurs as she pulls the ovum onto her left hand. "Winds, guide me!"

The whirlwind which accompanies her transformation is even more subdued than usual, but it may still send some stray sheets of paper flying before the Magic Knight of Wind rises to her feet. "It's not that anyone here chooses to suffer through exams for the sake of suffering," she points out with a gentle smile. "We endure these studies for the sake of carving our path forward through the continuation of our classes, to proceed alongside our friends and classmates from one grade to the next - and there's definitely a feeling of accomplishment that comes on the other side of these tests, knowing that we've struggled and prevailed, overcoming one of the greatest of scholastic obstacles."

(Ok, there is /no way/ it's only been five minutes since I last checked the time. This place must be run by someone who can control time. It's the only explanation.)

KA-BOOM!

Mei doesn't have time to register what's happening before a hail of glass and sheet rock rains over her and her fellow elementary schoolers, scattering several under desks and setting more than a few into a tearful panic. And she herself would have been among them, had this happened two months ago.

But she's been a little...transformed, shall we say?

So instead of ducking for cover, Mei runs to the edge of the floor where a /wall/ used to be and looks down onto the street. Just as she suspected -- bad guys! The cram school must have been a front all along!

"This is what I get for studying," she says under her breath, shaking her fist in the air dramatically. Barrelling past the chaperone who had come into the room to calm down the other children, the girl rushes into the hallway and ducks into a convenient janitor's closet. Not too glamorous, but it'll do.

"Chroma Prism Red! Transform!"

And, just like that, she's out the door again, a red comet of light as she shoots towards the Nakewameke, hoping to take it by surprise.

Love grins broadly at Miki before holding up half the sign (if they are holding it together) or all of the sign (if Love is holding it herself) proudly. "I meant it when I said that I got my happiness, yesterday. Now I want to help others get their own happiness and that's what we are doing here today! We're going to be such a big surprise!" It was a small thing, but they had both put some TLC into this sign and it should atleast cause their senpai to crack a smile no matter how the cram school went.

And then, a nakewameke suddenly busts through the wall of the cram school, causing debris and dust to fly around everywhere. Okay, that's a much bigger surprise than the one her and Miki had in store for their schoolmate. The dust clears enough for her to see that this monster was made from the exam itself. This thing was pretty much something right out Love's nightmares! Love quickly looks to Miki and nods her head determinedly towards her. "We can't let Labyrinth ruin our senpai's exam day!"

But before anything else is done, Love ensure that their hand-crafted sign is safely tucked away from harm. She then takes her linkrun from off her hip and unlocks it with a pink key. A flick of the finger later, the transformation has begun. "Change! Pretty Cure.....Beat up!" Love's entire body is encased in a bright pink light. A sudden bright flash fills the area to reveal the blonde-haired Cure Peach. "This pink heart is the emblem of love!" CLAP "Freshly picked! Cure Peach!" The pink-clad warrior wastes no time in charging the Nakewameke. She heads straight for the monster with a fist held behind her head. "Hyaaaaaah!" yells the young girl as her fist comes forward and she attempts to see if rock will finally beat paper this time around.

Prism Keeper Orange looks up and watches in awe and sudden panic when the wall explodes open upon the cram school and she sort of tumbles out of her bench and she crawls under it for protection. What.. what happened!? Did a gas main go out!? No... No. Something else is going on, mainly, because the screaminging of the Nakewameke inside clues her into the actual nature of the situation to a small degree. Then actual rationality kicks in. Mei! No, Mei's in there!

BUT Mei's already transformed she secretly whews... good. She's safe. She makes her Chroma Crystal materialize from under her bench and mutters, almost whispering to it, trying not to make a big deal of it from her hiding spot.

"Chroma Prism Orange! Transform!"

Soon, a speedy, fast Prism Keeper Orange is fluttering in a hurry to join Mei's side. "Ah... Red, I'm here!" she says, fluttering to her side.

"...I swear this one won't blast me away five blocks like the last one...." she insists sheepishly and almost embarassedly. She glares at the man on top of the youma's shoulder. Wait a moment.

"You're the one who stole that trash can! After you turned it into a monster!" she says with determined huff.

She turns to Prism Keeper Red. "Red, this guy steals trash cans! I think he uses them to power these things maybe!" she says with wide eyes. She's completely incorrectly of course.

She spins her wand and then spins herself around on her wings hovering in midair. "You can do this, Red! You're the best! Defeat thier stinky trash can powered beast! You can do it, all of you!~"

Little sparkly orange energy spins and rushes around Prism Keeper Red at the same time from her wand as Orange spins around.

Miki would certainly like to be holding the sign with Love. So, she holds her half of the sign up proudly. "She'll be so happy to see it, Love!" she says then. Smiles led to hope, and hope led to good cheer - so... Miki Aono was certainly happy to be a part of this. At least... until the school blows up. The exploding wall catches Miki's attention, and she calls out in a scream, ducking her head and covers it reflexively, dropping her half of the sign as she does so. "Love!" she calls after the rubble settles, casting a glance to her friend briefly. Only to see that determined nod, one that does wonders in chasing out the concern that she might have. 

Likewise, Miki nods her head, and agrees - "Right!" she enthuses. Helping tuck the sign away with Love, she likewise picks up her linkrun beside Love, bringing her hand up to unlock it. "Change!" she cries in unison with her friend. "Pretty Cure... Beat Up!" 

Like Love before her, the light that encases Miki is a bluish one, her own henshin a handful of moments after Love's. "This blue heart is the emblem of hope!" Clap! "Freshly gathered! Cure Berry!" And with that done, Peach was wasting no time. So she would find her friend right beside her. Peach was leading with a punch, so Berry would do the same, moving in unison with her friend.

Much better. Westar is back in his element - commanding a giant monster to rampage and gather misery from a miserable place. There's panic, and fear, and the existing misery from those here, and for some reason regret that the tests have been interrupted, who even thinks like that - but overall, today might be a great bounty for Labyrinth!

There's a sudden windstorm, and an emerald-clad warrior trying to justify the cram school as a ''good'' thing - Westar simply gestures furiously, and the Nakewameke cuts off the speech with a storm of red-marked papers. "Bah! Best to just follow Labyrinth's path! Cry, wail, devote your misery to Mobius!"

A blazing red comet erupts from the cram school, and the Nakewameke has to turn to defend against it - leaving it open to attacks from outside. A pair of punches, blue and pink, hammer solidly into the Nakewameke. But...it's made of paper, and bends with the blows. Are they dealing damage?

And then there is a grievous insult to Westar, who turns to shout at Prism Keeper Orange. "That's not how it happened! I was rescuing my - never mind that! Nakewameke, quiet her - it seems we have opposition!" He turns to the Cures with a grin. "We meet again, Pretty Cure - but you won't have an easy time today! All these students are already crying and wailing - (or at least I was) - and Labyrinth shall reign supreme for it!"

The Nakewameke unleashes straight punches in return at the two Pretty Cures - each one branching into four fingers. One of them might be weaker, but which? Meanwhile, a storm of paper gathers between the Nakewameke, and those still within the cram school - Westar turning to those foes confidently. Finally, a pile of paper gets flung at Prism Keeper Orange - enough to bury someone alive!

You didn't think the Magic Knight of Wind was going to depend *only* on words to make her case, do you? Especially with the backlash (as an accompanying storm of papers) as her line of reasoning is brutally rejected. She's not going to cry or wail, though, and she has better things to do with her misery than devote it to Mobius (whoever or whatever that is).

"Reppuu no Ya!"

A swiftly-drawn arrow and a similarly quickly-casted gust of wind are melded together into a Gale Arrow. It doesn't hit the Nakewameke hard enough to leave any appreciable marks, but it embodies the Wind Knight's refusal to offer up the dismay that Westar wants out of his prey.

And that's just her first magical attack.

"Imashime no Kaze!" the Wind Knight calls out, conjuring a whirlwind to bind the Nakewameke (and its passenger/boss) in place: the Winds of Admonishment, to help buy time for the rest of the good guys to organize a little better. The Wind Knight is already looking around to see who's here that she recognizes ...

This attack -- lovingly termed the 'Red Comet' by Prism Keeper Red -- is notoriously hit or miss. It's been quite helpful to her in the past, except for when it hasn't been. And when it hasn't been, the results can be...mixed, shall we say. Today is one of those days, it seems, for even though she thinks her trail of pure color damaged the monster, she herself is covered in red-marked papers, the worst of which covers her eyes completely.

"Aieeeee!" she cries out as she claws at the paper blindfold, trying desperately to stop her momentum before -- CRASH

The bullet of red slams at full speed into a building on the other side of the road, making a visible impact and leaving the surface covered in a bright scarlet stain. Fortunately for the little girl inside it, the energy shield absorbs all the physical damage hitting a brick wall might have caused, but Red is still knocked around inside of it, jarred by the crash.

But hey, at least she got the stupid paper off, right?

"Grrrr." Red rips the flimsy, red-marked paper off her face, then throws it to the ground and stomps on it for good measure. "Don't you dare use my color against me! Red pens should only be used to correct mistakes, not hurt someone's feelings! I won't allow you to make innocent students feel bad before their big test!"

Not terribly elegant, but eh, does the job.

The Prism Keeper turns to her companion as the orange sparkles shower over her, the memory of being blinded by an ugly F slowly fading. "Orange-chan! Let's show this baddie that he only belongs in the trash!"

Perhaps it was not the wisest decision to play rock, paper, scissors with a giant piece of paper and pick rock. Cure Peach grins as both Berry and hers punches land true. That grin turns into a look of brief horror as the Nakewameke punches back and punches hard. The robotic monster punch breaks through Peach's defense easily and sends her flying through the air. She crashes through a nearby bench which shatters immediately from the sheer force of the impact. For a moment, nothing stirs and a bunch of dust is kicked up to make it hard to see anything at all.

Eventually, a coughing pink shape emerges from the wreckage and she turns her pink eyes turn to see how Berry fared through that attack. Hopefully she managed better than Peach had, but she calls out all the same. "Berry! We have to defeat this thing, for senpai's and everyone elses' sake!" Their happiness was at stake and Peach was determined to not let this Nakewameke cause anymore despair than it already had. The Prism Keepers and Fuu were also all doing their best too. They had to not pull any punches and do their best as well!

It was in this case, that Cure Berry might take little steps away from the nakewameke, her ponytail bobbing to the side as she expertly dodges each little push and thrust of its fingers. Weaker? Berry might take offense to that if Westar would have voiced such a thought. With the last straight punch delivered, Berry was momentarily distracted - distracted by the sight of Peach flying away. "Peach!" she calls. 

Disengaging a little bit, she had her front towards the nakewameke still as she leaps backwards to put distance between herself and the Labyrinth creation. 

"Right!" she says in response to Peach's words- she had concern for her friend still, but by the time she had retreated back to her position, she had dug herself out of the rubble. "We can do it, Peach..." Westar was looking for the weakest link? PreCure was a team! "Ganbatte!"

Prism Keeper Orange listens to Westar complain that she's wrong! She huffs angrily. "I know what I saw! You turned that trash can into a monster! SO YOU COULD STEAL IT!" she points accusingly, almost like a tiny, cute adorable Phoenix Wright. "Why else would a jerk like you steal a trash can!? I bet you just litter anyways!" she says, once again, ENTIRELY incorrectly.

She smiles widely at her friend. "Let's so this jerk the power of... of..." she thinks hard. "Chroma Prism Power! Mess with one crayon... and get the whole box!" she says with a hrmph!

Suddenly. Tests. All the tests and papers, more than she's probably even taken in her life time descending upon her in a pile. Her eyes go quite wide. "Ahhhhhhhhh!". She throws her wand up and there's a flash of light! A wave of rotating Koi around her deflects the tests into piles around her as she peeks an eye open. Then opens them fully, to relif as she realizes she's not being buried in papers. She lowers he shield and a single paper floats into her test.

She huhs as she drops the paper without a thought, not knowing whose it is, as she pulls her arm back and then throws her hand forward, a beam of color energy launching from it as she hahs!

"Orange Rush!...." she calls out.

The Nakewameke is big, clunky, and slow. The whirlwind gathering around it is threatening enough that it seems to think better of simply waiting for the winds to trap it, and it staggers out into the street at large. Prism Keeper Red's impassioned speech about the colour red is met - perhaps fittingly - with yet more red-marked papers, though the wind tears most of them out of the way. Finally, there's a straight-up beam of power - one the Nakewameke takes with a metallic grunt, sliding a couple of feet.

Westar, for his part, frowns. Big test? Worse than the one he was handed? These humans should be grateful for the interruption, then! ...wait, no, he wants them despairing, not grateful...

...this is more thinking than he really should be doing in a fight, and it's Prism Keeper Orange's accusations that finally break that train of thought. "Hmph. Understand this, little girl - I am Westar, executive of Labyrinth. The Nakewameke under my command are for causing misery and despair, so that we may fill the Sorrow Gauge! Now, Nakewameke - attack!"

Hopefully, this will clear up the matter forever. The test-monster seeks to obey - massive hands reach out towards Orange and Red, seeking to simply grab the two smaller targets. The rest of those present are bombarded with more copies of fiendishly difficult entrance exams - look upon the essay questions, and despair!

Attempting to fill the Magic Knight of Wind with sorrow is going to be a more difficult proposition than it sounds like; as the tests fly at her, she brings her arms up to defend herself ...

Then catches hold of one of the papers. "Trigonometry? This is going to be on --"

Then a LOT of test papers converge on the distracted Magic Knight, and mass paper cuts ensue before she manages to thrash her way free of them. "Now *that* was a dirty trick," she comments, then looks around at her allies. The two Prism Keepers - both of them in the same fight? She hasn't had the opportunity to see them in action together before - both look like they're somewhat the worse for wear ...

"Iyashi no Kaze!" calls the Wind Knight, invoking the Winds of Healing - for her own benefit, due to all those papercuts, and for the Prism Keepers' as well, perhaps moreso than Fuu's own sake.

Cure Peach was doing her best to cheer her teammate on and what does Berry do in response? She returns the favor by encouraging Peach to get back into the fight too! A huge grin appears on Peach's face as she focuses her eyes back on the Nakewameke with renewed vigor. Berry was right! They can do it, together!

The young girl's renewed zeal gets quickly put to the test as the nakewameke attempts to drown her in homework/test questions. Peach raises her arms to defend herself as these annoying pieces of paper give her numerous papercuts are all her arms. But eventually, she has enough of this and bursts through the paperwork with a punch leading the way. She aims this counter-punch straight at the nakewameke itself to hopefully knock it far enough way that she gets herself some breathing room.

Peach then uses what precious time she has before the next attack to leap over to Berry's side. "Let's kick a hole straight through this thing!" She nods her head quickly before jumping in the air hopefully in unison with Berry. Once airborne, Peach will yell her battlecry, "Double Pretty Cure Kick!" If all goes to plan, Berry will join in and follow suite and they will both aim these powerful heeled kicks of theirs at this horrible exam Nakewameke.

"Labyrinth? Sorrow Gauge?" Prism Keeper Red repeats, tilting her head slightly to the side. She's heard of that -- and this Mobius guy -- before, there's no doubt about that. But all the different monsters and baddies she's fought kind of blend together in her head, so it's hard to pinpoint exactly who she heard those things from.

Until the image of kidnapped Momo flashes into her head, alongside that of the silver-haired man behind it.

"You!" the girl shouts as the puzzle clicks together. "You work with him, don't you? The one who kidnapped all those children!" Even as she's speaking, she recalls the ambulance monster she fought off, and the leather-clad girl who commanded it. "A-and the one who attacked a hospital! You're...you're absolutely unforgivable!" With a powerful push from her tiny legs, Red pushes herself airborne, flying towards the mastermind behind this whole thing.

Only to be grabbed out of nowhere by a giant hand and /squeezed/.

She is getting more used to taking this kind of damage in combat; that is, the pain does not send her into a panic like it once would have. That being said, the feeling of being squished from all sides is hardly pleasant, and she can feel the air slowly being pushed out of her lungs. With a pained glance, the girl turns and sees her best friend caught in a similar trap -- they must have been targeted together. Big mistake.

"Hey, ugly," Red murmurs in between tiny, involuntary squeaks of discomfort. "Mess with a rose, get the thorns."

With that, a host of roses and thorny vines spawns around her, multiplying and becoming more tangled as she pushes more magic into the attack. The thorns don't touch her, of course, but they are long and unbelievably sharp, resembling spears more than thorns. Hopefully, this unpleasant surprise will make the monster stop trying to squeeze her to death.

That turns out to be an unnecessary wish, as cleansing winds come from out of nowhere and loosen the grip around her enough for her to wiggle free, flying high into the air and hoping her teammate will follow.

"Thanks!" she calls down to the knight below her, giving a tiny wave so as not to distract her from the battle.

Although the Cures were taking a moment to bolster each other's spirits - the fact of the matter is a fight was still going on. And it is one of those papers that lash out towards her, slapping across her features and causing her to cry out, another and another coming. But bringing up her arms to brace against the whirlwind of horrible tests, she dances through the storm. Although the topic of one of the papers lashing by does startle her. Islet of Langerhans? Is that near Sweden? 

When the flurry ends, Berry was still standing strong - still standing strong alongside Peach, her chin lifted, her eyes leveling upon the monster as she takes her place alongside her friend. 

Berry was on the same wavelength as Peach. At her friend's urgings, she too pushes forward, heels barely shivering in spite of the uneven ground, holding her arms to the side. She just... knew. Perhaps it was the dancing lessons, perhaps it was something magical in her Pretty Cure /being/... perhaps it was simply the magic of friendship. As soon as Peach lept up, Berry followed. At exactly the same time as her friend, moving at the same time, leading with a kick as she lends her voice to the cry.

Prism Keeper Orange opens her eyes wide as she attempts to understand this! Sorrow? You can fill a thing with that!? That doesn't make sense! "AHA! So you stole the trash can to store sorrow!?" she calls out. "and misery!? AND despair!?" she says scandously! "But those things don't belong in a trash can!" she says with a gasp! "That's... that's wrong! You're terrible!" she insists. Yeah. She's still positive that SOMEHOW the Trash Can was a vital part of some machination and not just Westar being.... Westar. She's too young to get concepts like this.

When the giant youma moves to reach out towards her and Red, she raises her wand and creates a shield. This keeps the hands off her, but the youma can still grab the shield. She kind of moves with it like she was part of the half orb. She blinks. And blinks again. "What!? NO PUT ME DOWN!" she insists. This hurts, a lot. Wait. Can't she just...

She drops her shield and she falls to the ground with a loud oof and a pained expression. She feels all wrong. She looks unsure. Fuu changes this with her lovely feeling healing winds. "Ahhh... hehe~ Thanks!" she says with a warm smile at Fuu!

She listens to Mei, and her eyes go wide. "These guys are the same guys that...!?" she gasps in disbelif.

"You guys really /ARE/ MEGA jerks!" she says as she throws another beam of orange light from her hand, as if lobbing it overhead from her arm, pointing her palm out towards the giant beast.

Kidnapped? Hospital? Westar frowns a moment, but then grins. "Soular and Eas - fellow executives of Labyrinth. Now that you know of us - are you truly planning to continue to stand against Mobius's plans?"

A storm of emerald wind blasts the Nakewameke - not harming it, but distracting it enough for its grip to loosen - and then those Prism Keepers show how much they intend to stand against the Nakewameke. A beam of orange is met with another storm of papers, and the Nakewameke takes a few steps to escape the worst of the roses and thorns. It just has to drop its defenses for a moment-

And then Cures Berry and Peach hit it like a freight train of fresh fruit.

The double kick tears through the test-monster cleanly - every page bearing a broad smoking hole. Baffled, injured, the monster reels- and Westar is forced to leap from his shoulder perch. "N-NO CHEAT SHEETS ALLOWED..."

Alighting atop a nearby balcony, Westar calls to the Nakewameke. "Don't give up just yet! Grab the Pretty Cure - and don't underestimate the rest of them!" Still reeling, the monster moves to obey.

Prism Keeper Orange eh!? More Paper!? She tries to jump out of the way this time and fails, being blown away in the wave of papers and aiiiieeeeeeee, she hits a wall and comes down to an ooomphhh! She shakes her head as she gets up to her feet, then waves a finger about and sucks it. "Mpghrg...! Paper cut!!!..." she says glumly. This is the WORST. Of all the wounds she can get tonight, this one is the WORST.

She frowns as she hovers up into the air on her wings and shaikly goes to join Mei's side, who seemed to have wethered her attack more gracefully and with less papercuts. She frowns and hrmphs. "I---I'm okay!" she haughily insists to her.

... "Red! Let's show this jerk our answer in technicolor~ , okay?" she asks with a smile, well, as big enough as one she can answer. She holds her wand out at a diagonal, so Red can cross her wand with hers, leaving plenty of space. "Orange.....!" she calls out as she starts her side of things, waiting for her good friend to finish her side of the proto-combo. They're still learning how to do this, it seems on many levels!

Cure Peach ends up kicking straight through the Nakewameke to where she ends up landing on the side of a nearby building with a loud clack as her heels clunk against the vertical surface, She then uses this momentum to spring back off the wall and to try to land on her feet. That was the plan at least and Cure Peach performs 90% of that without any major hitch. Unfortunately, the last 10 percent proves to a quite some painful percentage points.

The Nakewameke snatches Peach out of the air and attempts to crush the very life out of her. Crying out in pain, the young Pretty Cure warrior is trapped by this monster and needs to do something to break free from its grasp before she loses all conciousness. Mustering up whatever she has left, Cure Peach attempts to free her left arm just enough to punch the Nakewameke in the hand so that it would let her go.

Peach can't see where Berry is from this vantage point, but she can only hope that things are going better for her. Things were starting to look very bleak, but there was still a chance that they could pull through. She simply just had to believe!

Berry was... not doing as well as she should, all truth told. The elation that came from kicking through the nakewameke alongside her friend was short lived. Alongside Peach after the kickthrough, she finds the building, kicking off of it, following Peach's trajectory - which meant that when Peach was grabbed? So was Berry. 

However, Berry had managed to wriggle free and kinda somersault to a landing below - on her side. Which made it easier for the creature to scoop her up and /squeeze/ tightly, her mind already reeling from the poorly judged fall, the pain of it amplified by the squeezing. 

Quite a bit, actually. Berry has to open her mouth in a scream of pain. 

Not that she was going to just sit there doing that. Closing her mouth, gritting her teeth against the squeezing creature, briefly, Berry glances across the way, spying Westar - before the edges of her vision turn black again, and she just takes a deep breath. The first kick and punch she gives is weak. But soon enough, she was struggling in the nakewameke's arms, her eyes full of something akin to ~fire~ in spite of the pain.

The Wind Knight attempts to leap clear of the storm of test papers, although she gets buffeted around by them - no paper cuts this time, thankfully, although it throws her landing off somewhat noticeably. "'Don't underestimate the rest of them' ... you know," she smiles, "that might be the first thing I've heard you say that I have to agree with, Westar-san."

Yes, she just addressed an enemy 'officer' *politely*. With an honorific suffix, even.

Another arrow is drawn back as the wind stirs about the Magic Knight ... but rather than channeling it into another Gale Arrow, the Wind Knight simply takes an extra fraction of a second to line up her shot, and lets the arrow fly ... trying to plant it somewhere inside the hole that the two Pretty Cures just made with their team-up flying kick.

"Are you kidding me?" Prism Keeper Red shouts back to the man, her face turning a shade of red just a tad less vibrant than her outfit. "Of course I am! Like I'd just step aside and let you bullies do whatever you'd like. That'd be...that'd be--"

A sudden memory from her last fight grips her: 'sometimes leaving a battle early protects you, so you can fight another day.'

...would that really be the smarter thing to do?

With an emphatic shake of her head, the girl pushes the thought out of her head, turning her fiery eyes back to Westar. "That'd be unforgivable! I'm going to make sure you never make anyone else miserable, ever again!"

Or she would, if the monster hadn't suddenly unleashed a wave of pain in all directions.

She herself gets off relatively easy: a few stray papers cut her arms as she throws them up in front of her for defense. But as she lowers them again, she spies the real damage done. The two Precure are grabbed, just like she and Orange had been. Worse, her teammate was hit by a storm of papers -- and did not get away quite as unscathed as she did.

That straw broke the camel's back.

"You asked for this!" she warns Westar and the monster, flying over to Orange and conjuring her Wand for an attack. Hearing her friend call out her color, she does the same. "Red!....um, Red--"

"pssst Orange, did you have an idea for this name, because I kinda don't..."

The executive begins to laugh boldly - and then sparks fly from the Wind Knight's arrow slipping between a couple of pages. The Nakewameke staggers, and then has to turn to deal with the colourful attack coming its way - but it has no hands to block with, and can only hope to endure with torn pages.

Coordinated strikes slam into both wrists, and the Nakewameke's grip loosens enough for its captives to get free. Westar, from his perch, boggles. "What?! How could you let them go!?" Growling a moment, he gestures sharply to the enemies before him. "No matter! Soon enough, you'll be out of the picture, and all the misery of this 'cram school' place will belong to Mobius-sama!"

The Nakewameke has seen better days. Its pages are damaged, its limbs dented. Still, it raises one hand to adjust those thick glasses - has it identified some weakness?

"ESSAYS MUST BE PROPERLY CITED!"

Perhaps not - and then it begins its advance forward, sheafs of paper cascading as its vanguard. How many essay questions can one test have?

Another wave of test papers launches towards the heroines; the Wind Knight was already preparing another arrow - and this time, she calls out again, "Reppuu no Ya!!" and sends another Gale Arrow racing towards the Nakewameke, the winds carrying enough force that they actually punch through the test sheets and into the monster. That still leaves a fair amount of paper heading in her direction, but it could have been - and probably WOULD have been - far worse if she hadn't gotten that arrow off fast enough. "I believe, Westar-san, you've gotten a few words wrong .."

She pauses, gathering her allies in by eye. "Shall we give this monster and its master their final grades for the term?" the green-clad Magic Knight asks them with a smile, her hair and skirt tousled by the wind and power that are being gathered about her. She lets her bow and quiver disappear, drawing her arms back and up ...

"MIDORI NO SHIPPUU!!"

The Emerald Tornado is unleashed as the Wind Knight swings her arms forward, focusing her magic into a devastating, rending tempest - yet still a closely controlled one, focusing the wrath of the storm against the enemy rather than risk excessive collateral damage.

Cure Peach punches her way out of the Nakewameke's grasp, sailing through the air again as a result. Eventually her mass reaches a sudden stop as she lands on her feet with a loud clack. The weakened Peach nearly tops over, but she quickly moves her feet fast enough to not topple over. Breathing laboriously, the blonde-haired warrior musters up everything that she has left in her. This wasn't good at all! She hasn't been this close to defeat since her first encounter against Eas which was nearly her last encounter with her as well.

Her rest gets interrupted by a flying stack of exam papers. They attempt to crush her underneath their educational might, but Peach karate chops the nearest paper and then kicks her way past the next wave. She's a little worse for wear, but she managed to avoid most of the damage. That was too close! She definitely couldn't keep this up for much longer!

Peach then runs over to Berry's side and nods to her. It was time for them both to give it their all! "We can do this Berry, let's get our happiness!" She says to her friend as she manages to smile through all the pain that she was in. Turning now to the Nakewameke, the pink-eyed punching machine starts to stare it down. Her hands reach out to her sides and then she brings her hands together over her head, sounding off a loud CLAP. "Nasty things, nasty things, fly away!" Peach brings her hands back down to her sides and forms a heart with her hands over where her own heart would be with her pinky fingers extended out. "Pretty Cure- Love Sunshine!" shouts Cure Peach as an explosion of pink energy erupts out from her formed heart. This energy flies forth and seeks to inundate the Nakewameke in its pink glory.

"Haha! We're turning your stupid monster into a coloring book!" Prism Keeper Red laughs as their combo attack hits the youma, splashing its color across its papery surface. She shoots a glance and a smile towards her friend, who had so kindly come up with an attack name. "No, I like that! Apples and Oranges, that's cute." She chinhands a bit, thinking. "Come to think of it, I don't call out many of my attacks other than the big one. Maybe I should do that a little more...?"

Before she can think too much on it, a storm of razor-sharp sheets flies outward from the flagging monster. Relying on her oh-so-quick reflexes, the girl leaps up, removing herself from harm's way altogether!

Or not. Her poor stockings don't get completely out of the onslaught, getting cut in dozens of places and ruining her cute look. How dare you.

"Ok, that's it! Your interruption has gone on far too long!" she screams at Westar, pointing towards him with her white and red Chroma Wand. Kid gloves have come /off/. "I have an English test tomorrow, and I'm not gonna fail just because some loser showed up and ruined my study session."

"Prism Aegis Power!"

The Crystal on the Chroma Wand sparkles to life, gathering a maelstrom of red energy around her. And since her stockings are all torn up, she decides to twirl a few times for good measure, to make up for the precious style points lost.

"Red Rain!"

Stopping mid-twirl, Red flings the gathered light into the sky -- directly above the Nakewameke -- where it proceeds to rain down red upon the exam monster.

"Ooh, look at all that red. Looks like you failed, mister," she says with a smug grin. Yeah, she hasn't seen the results juuuust yet. But really, that irony is too good to go waste.

A lucky shot on the wrists is what released her. And Berry manages to kinda twist herself around to land on a knee and a foot. It still stung - it still hurt - but she pushes off of the ground and launches herself away from the Nakewameke, trying not to let the damage the fight had put on her from effecting her movements overmuch. 

For all intents and purposes, no one might be able to tell just how hurt she was - she was still moving with a precise, graceful step. Even if her knees were saying terrible things to her at every step. 

It was starting to look grim - and with a glance towards Peach, maybe she would be able to tell how desperate things were getting - and maybe, just maybe, Peach would be able to tell the opposite with her. 

Stepping forward, she twists, imagining she was releasing a long breath that she imagined was exhaling all negative things from her, from her lips as she steels herself. 

Beside Peach, almost in time with her friend, she starts with the clap! before lifting her eyes up towards the nakewameke. "Evil things, evil things - fly away!" she says. Snapping her arms out to her sides, she slowly brings them in front of herself, forming a spade with her fingers. Most would probably see it as an upside down heart. "Pretty Cure!]" she intones, energy forming within the space of her fingertips."Espoir Shower!" That energy surges brighter, and lashes out, a spade to join the heart that Love had shot.

Prism Keeper Orange eyes go wide. "A...are you sure...." she whispers to her. "Right...it's.. a good name!" she says, not so sure- she's terrible at names like this, Mei's the super creative one with wordplay like this!-- but...if Mei likes it. She likes it too!

But then....

More Paper, she frowns. She feels weak. She knows she shouldn't but! She throws her shield up again and closes her eyes!

Unlike last time however, the papers just cut through it completely like butter and she gets sent flying across the room! "Aiieee....!" she calls out. She even bounces once. She pushes herself up with a frown as she groans. "Ohhh I don't feel good." she says weakly. She does however, frown and attempt to fire off another weak energy blast from her hands, another orange beam flying through the air... "Orange... Blast!" she calls out. This is not as powerful as she'd hoped. She tries to steel her nerve. Just...just a little more. Everyone here is doing thier best! She has to, too!---

But she can't quite yet.

Clap. Westar hears the echo as Cure Peach begins her attack, and tenses. It's been a while since he last faced her, but he remembers what she was able to do to his Nakewameke. He's about to call out an order, when there's a second clap - Cure Berry, also a hazardous foe. Both of them together could be...difficult.

And then - two people calling out to him directly. He turns to the Wind Knight and Prism Keeper in turn. "Wait, this is just an entrance exam- and don't blame me for that!" While the words divert him, however, the storms come - a green tempest that begins to shred the pages, crimson rain to hammer down on the Nakewameke, sunset power to sear further at existing damage.

And the Pretty Cure are attacking. This...might not be winnable today. Even as the heart and spade come storming in, Westar is already leaping clear - if nothing else, he doesn't want to get caught in that.

The Nakewameke is less mobile, and caught fully by the storm of power. Green and red and orange and blue and pink, all combined in a swirling rainbow of light. It's too much power for the Nakewameke to handle - with a final 'fzzzzzz', the evil artifact bubbles away.

When the light clears, the ruined wall of the cram school is intact once more. The interruption to the study plan may be irrevocable, but the physical damage at least is gone as if it had never happened. The only evidence to the contrary-

"Pretty Cure! And your allies!" Westar shouts down from a much, much higher balcony. For his words to reach, he certainly has to shout. "You may have defeated my Nakewameke today - but I, Westar, will not forget this! Labyrinth will triumph!"

And that's enough of that - he leaps off, fleeing for who knows where. Today's outing was kind of successful! Though somehow, Westar feels like he didn't quite get what he was supposed to out of that cram school...
