"SAILOR MOON," booms the spiky red-haired head of Rubeus in the cloudy night sky. The upside-down [ansi(hx,Black Moon)] on his forehead is the only sign of that comforting celestial body right now. Instead of stars, his dark eyes glitter with, if not unholy glee, then at the very least, insufferable self-satisfaction. Maybe both. "YOU WERE WISE TO STAY AWAY EARLIER, BUT THAT IS NOW A LUXURY YOU CANNOT AFFORD."

The holographic projection switches its view to show a massive dark chamber. Its details are indistinct, but what's at its center can be seen clearly: four massive crosses made out of black crystal, encasing four Sailor Senshi at the legs and forearms. Their heads flop forward helplessly; they are clearly unconscious.

"ALL OF YOUR BEST FRIENDS ARE AT MY MERCY... IF YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE, BRING THE RABBIT AND THE SILVER CRYSTAL TO UENO PARK. COME ALONE. YOU HAVE TWENTY-FOUR HOURS BEFORE I START EXECUTING PRISONERS... AND THESE FOUR ARE ONLY THE START."

His grin widens as his face fades back into view, superimposed over the translucent backdrop of the prisoners. It's apparently a live feed, because in that moment, Sailor Mars' eyes flicker open... and then her mouth gapes open too, as though, on that cross, she's enduring something unbearable.

"MY COLLECTION IS IMPRESSIVE... PRETTY CURE. MAGIC KNIGHTS. CRYSTAL GEMS. MIRACULOUS-USERS. SIRENES. WITCHES. MAGES. I'M SURE EVERYONE LISTENING IN THIS KNOWS SOMEONE ABOARD WHO'S ENJOYING MY HOSPITALITY... SO CHOOSE YOUR NEXT ACTIONS VERY CAREFULLY. YOUR FRIENDS NEED NOT SUFFER AND DIE: ONCE THE RABBIT AND SILVER CRYSTAL ARE IN OUR POSSESSION, THE BLACK MOON CLAN WILL RELEASE ITS PRISONERS, LEAVE THIS PLACE, AND NEVER RETURN."

The image of the prisoners fades out entirely, leaving only Rubeus. He folds his arms.

"TWENTY-FOUR HOURS, SAILOR MOON..."

And then he's gone, leaving only the moonless sky, panic, and questions in his wake.
