== Profile ==
The daughter of genius scientist and interdimensional criminal Precia Testarossa, Fate is a young girl who only wants to make her mother happy. She still remembers the times when Precia used to smile at her and yearns for those days to return. Unknown to Fate, she is an imperfect duplicate of Precia's real daughter, Alicia. Fate has come to Earth in search of the Lost Logia known as Jewel Seeds, knowing only that obtaining them is necessary for her mother to attain her deepest desires. Serious and straightforward, Fate keeps her mind at the task at hand, using her Intelligent Device, Bardiche, to search for and gather the Jewel Seeds. She also cares deeply for her familiar, the dog-woman named Arf, and would do anything to protect her or Precia.

== Powers/Abilities ==
Midchildan magic offers a broad list of magical abilities. To make a long story short:
* Minor telepathy (communication purposes)
* Flight
* Magical attacks (beams, lazors, shackles, etc)
* Magical barriers (personal to deflect attacks, or wide-area to phase out civilians)
* Self-enhancements (speed boosts, strength boosts, mostly)
* Scanning (life signs, other magic being used)
* Sealing (of weapons or magical artifacts)
* Restoration (of own magical equipment)

Some of these can be handled automatically by a mage's Device. Fate's, Bardiche, is an Intelligent Device, making it more autonomous than the average weapon. It has a complete personality and the ability to make decisions, including to deny Fate access to its functions if it decides it's for the better.

Bardiche currently has four forms:
* Standby Form, which is a small handheld golden triangle.
* Axe Form, its default poleaxe mode.
* Scythe Form, where the axe blade splits open and forms a large blade of magic.
* Glaive Form, where the axe blade angles upward like a spearhead and sprouts magical "wings".

Her Device also handles the creation of her Barrier Jacket when she transforms, which is a set of reinforced clothes ideal for fighting other mages. She currently only has one Barrier Jacket mode, the default, and it has no name.

Fate also has a rare trait, Mana Conversion Affinity, which lets her turn any of her magical attacks into electricity/lightning instead, giving her more variety than the average Midchildan mage (but not much).

In terms of combat experience, she is an experienced mage with a few years' worth of condensed training, meaning she's great at using polearms (axe, scythe, spear) AND at using her magic correctly. She doesn't have the best defenses, and instead focuses on high-speed aerial combat with decent firepower.

== Paths to Power ==
* Artifact (Bardiche): Without her Intelligence Device, Fate isn't much better off than the average mage. She needs it to fight, but also needs it as a supporting presence, much like she needs Arf.
* Contract (????): Hasn't happened yet!
* Legacy (Project F): As a successful artificial mage, her magical potential is pretty high. Fate has also inherited Alicia Testarossa's memories, and perhaps a part of her being as well. This could play a significant role in the future!
* Legacy (Testarossa Bloodline): The Testarossa bloodline has always yielded pretty good mages, and the ability to convert mana into lightning most likely stems from it.

* 22-09-2013, acquired donuts. Briefly met Tokiko & others. Creeped out by Signum. Bumped into Nanoha.

* 24-09-2013, hunted Jewel Seed. Ran into Nanoha, Hisae, Midori and Kirika. Shanked Nanoha and Hisae, escaped with Jewel Seed. Now curious about Kirika.

* 25-09-2013, helped Yoshirou (STAR LION!) be evil, fought Sakura Akagi to a tie, stole some magical earrings for Precia. Was promised ice cream by Yoshirou.

* 26-09-2013, found two Jewel Seeds, forced them to activate. Intercepted by Alyce; one Seed disappeared. Other was retrieved after dispatching Alyce (barely). Now intensely worried about the TSAB getting involved in the Jewel Seed hunt.

* 29-09-2013, stumbled across the fight against the Smelly Rose Witch at Ohtori Academy. Despite having nothing to gain from it, she couldn't stand idle and helped the many, many heroes drive the monster away.

* 02-10-2013, caught in a barrier by Vita/Signum along other victims. Fought Nanoha for one of her Jewel Seeds rather than pay attention. Though she won and took one, she then noticed Signum draining someone's Linker Core, and decided to take Nanoha back home with her rather than leave her for them to do that to.

* 03-10-2013, very early morning, cleaned and bandaged Nanoha's wounds before sleeping. Woke up, talked with her, and then teleported her away from the apartment before Arf or Precia could notice she wasn't alone.

* 11-10-2013, met and discussed with Sakana alongside Arf. Friendship was had. Sorta.

* 12-10-2013, fought Nanoha and Yuuno for an almost activated Jewel Seed. Got White Devil'd after knocking Yuuno out.

== Profile ==
Oriko Mikuni is the daughter of the infamous corrupt politician Hisaomi Mikuni. After he commited suicide, she was shunned by her friends and classmates. On the edge of despair she was approached by Kyubey, and wished to know the meaning of her life if all that mattered was her father's political standing. Though she's nice and caring to others, she shares many traits with her father as well, who was cunning, manipulative and corrupt, more than willing to put up a fake facade for his own gains; at least that's what many people at Ohtori would say, and they're not entirely wrong. Though her primary goal is to carry on her father's dream, "to make the city a peaceful place," it's become something of an obsession, as opposed to just a goal. Her powers as a Puella Magi revolve around the theme of diamonds, and within them shards of possible futures, i.e. precognition.

== History ==
Oriko is the daughter of Hisaomi Mikuni, who was a member of the Tokyo assembly. Especially popular in the Yamanote Zone, and thus Ohtori Academy, the man led a prosperous life with his daughter, although his wife died shortly after giving birth. Thorough his career he went as far as using Oriko in his campaigns, an oddly successful tactic which had the side effect of making her look up to him greatly. Thanks to her father's reputation, Oriko enjoyed a great school life, helped by her perfect grades.

When she was 14 (a year ago), Hisaomi was caught in a scandal regarding a variety of illegal activities, namely accepting bribes, and committed suicide. Oriko's reputation was crushed, and she went from being the popular girl to being the girl who is deliberately kept out of class and sent death threats.

In her darkest moments she met Kyubey, who offered her a wish. She wished to know the meaning of her life, and gained precognitive abilities, granting her sight of a future Tokyo swallowed in great darkness. She concluded the meaning of her life was to prevent this catastrophe, by any means.

It is also in this vulnerable time that Ends of the World contacted her, and offered to handle some of her issues in exchange for loyalty and doing a few jobs once in a while, always delivered on plain letters. She accepted, naturally.

Since then, her reputation at school has slightly recovered. She lives alone in the large family house, and does not appear to have a great many friends left. Some of her louder "rivals" at school have mysteriously vanished, at least allowing her some calm from all the rumors and accusations due to her father's actions. Even if they persist. She also obtained a barely official position on the middle school student council, that of advisor.

== Powers/Abilities ==
Oriko has the standard set of Puella Magi abilities, those being things like enhanced strength, agility and endurance, the ability to jump great distances, limited telepathy, the ability to recover from even the deadliest of wounds (provided she has enough magic) and other such similar stock magical girl abilities.

Her unique power is precognition, which works both for the short-term (combat, doesn't require consent) and long-term (requires consent). This allows her to start dodging attacks early, aim unnaturally well, etc. If you'd like to work out what Oriko may or may not know about your character, please @mail me!

Finally, her weapon is the ability to make orbs of metal and diamond appear, before launching them at great speeds. The size and number of orbs varies, though they're usually fist-sized. As a subset of her weapon she can create a variety of other lesser diamond-themed effects, such as encasing foes in damaging diamonds, creating shields and barriers out of diamond, detonating her creations like grenades, etc.

As she uses magic, Oriko's Soul Gem darkens, and must like other Puella Magi be "purified" using the Grief Seed of a defeated Witch. She has the advantage of having a very efficient magic, at least. Failure to do so in time would, naturally, result in death (or in <spoiler>).

Her Soul Gem takes the form of a ring when untransformed, or a gemstone similar to a faberge egg when called out in that form. Once transformed, it takes the form of an oval brooch a bit under her neck. If carried more than a hundred meters away from her, she will collapse until it is returned, and die if it isn't returned quickly enough. If it's shot and broken, she'll die instantly.
