Endo Naoki attends Juuban High School, holds down a part-time job at his local convince store, and spends his free nights defending his neighborhood from evil monsters. Since the passing of his father he's done the best he can to take care of his family and honor the memory of his deceased parent through his newfound magical ability. Endo is the present holder of Fallen Stern, an ancient Belkan device that he's entered into a contract with to <strike>DESTROY ENEMIES</strike> defend Tokyo from the forces of darkness. He has ties to the other Midchildian mages in Tokyo, and a very loose affiliation with the Magic Association.

Endo isn’t a very complicated sort of person. Endo was taught that hard work, sincerity, and perseverance will always get you through the day. Thus, those are the values that he tries to exemplify. Being raised in a close-knit and raucous family has left him a rather social individual, as well as fairly blunt in his speech and opinions. He's well known for his penchant of complaining and teasing both friends and strangers, but he also seems to carry a deep–seated sense of responsibility for the well-being of his peers. Probably too much responsibility, but his martyr complex is somewhat blunted by knowing there are others around Tokyo who share his burden. His generally positive outlook and thick-headedness are what carry him through most days.

Endo Naoki was born without much, his father in construction and his mother a waitress, neither very extraordinary people in anything but spirit. Both of them wanted a child, and both of them did their best to raise Endo as an honest, hard-working young man. From a young age he grew up among a tight-knit community of friends and family, hardly ever alone as a child. He didn’t have any siblings, but it always seemed like he was around other people. All this attention didn't involve any coddling though, and he grew up as a young man expected and able to pull his own weight without being a burden on the people around him.

That's how Endo met Haru Ano and came into possession of the intelligent device Fallen Stern. Haru, the Mage in the convenience store, fled the scene wounded after driving off the monster. Endor Naoki

Endor (also known as the Forest Moon of Endor or the Sanctuary Moon) was a small forested moon that orbited the Outer Rim planet of the same name and was the homeworld of the sentient Ewok and Yuzzum species.

Description

Endor

Endor was approximately 4,900 km in diameter and 43,300 light-years from the Galactic Core. The moon was covered in dense woodlands, tall mountains and savannas, and home to the sentient Ewok, Dulok, and Yuzzum species. It contained a breathable atmosphere to humans and 8 % surface water. It had two suns, Endor I and Endor II.[1][2]

History

Throughout galactic history, offworld raiders occasionally came to Endor to hunt the native Ewok population to make Ewok Jerky, which was a popular snack across the Outer Rim.[2]

Sometime during the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Empire established an outpost on the moon that included a shield generator complex to protect the incomplete second Death Star in orbit of the moon. In order to make way for the complex, an Ewok village was razed by Imperial troops, leading to strained Imperial—Ewok relations.[3] As a result of the repulsorlift field emitted by the SLD-26 planetary shield generator to keep the Death Star in a stationary orbit, Endor was prone to earthquakes, tidal imbalances, and other geological disturbances.[1]

The moon was later the site of the monumental Battle of Endor which saw combat between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and its Ewok allies against Imperial forces who were attempting to protect the shield generator and prevent the Alliance from destroying its superweapon in orbit. After fierce combat on the forest moon, the Rebel Alliance managed not only to destroy the shield generator complex, but also the second Death Star. With the destruction of the Empire's dreaded battle station and the death of Galactic Emperor Palpatine and his enforcer, Darth Vader; the Rebels and Ewoks held a victory celebration on the moon, one of many across the galaxy.[4] The Rebels set up shields and tractor beams to protect the moon from debris from the destroyed space station.[5] A field of detritus settled into orbit around the moon in the months following the battle.[6]

Behind the scenes

Endor made its first appearance in the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The scenes of the forest moon were filmed in the giant redwood forests of northern California, in particular Tall Trees Redwood Grove and other forests near the remote town of Smith River.[2]
