Oatmeal Lace Cookies
Source: Family recipe
Yield: About six dozen cookies
Ingredients
- ½ cup flour
- ¼ tsp baking Powder
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup quick cooking oats
- 2 Tbsp heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp light corn syrup
- 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit.
- Sift flour, sugar and baking powder together into a bowl.
- Mix together until well blended.
- Add quick-cooking oats.
- Mix together the cream, corn syrup butter and vanilla.
- Add the cream mixture to the flour/oatmeal mixture.
- Using ¼ tsp measuring spoon, drop onto an ungreased (or parchment-lined) baking sheet 2” apart.
- Bake in oven for 6 to 8 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Allow to stand a few seconds before removing from the pan.
